My experience is that today's digicams make tired bikes look much better than they are, especially if the shooter does any post-picture processing. So my bet is that this bike is VERY weather worn and has spots of rust from stem to stern. But like you say, the price isn't too bad to start and if the bike's cosmetics are really good, it is probably worth $1500 easy.

Someone go look and report back. And if anybody is serious about this bike, you need to listen to the top end very closely of an F2. These things were totally intolerant of overrevs and would eat their cams/valves pronto if abused.

Amazing, they must have 2

[quote=Road Rash]I already bought it...................I sent them the money, and the bike will be shipped to me next week

The story goes, they are a member of the Ebay Buyer Protection Plan, although I don't know what good that is, if I was to agree with the terms they are sending with the plan, it would be $2990 including shipping. Jerry

The carbs come off very easy if you know how.

You wrap a strap, ratcheting or cam, one or two, around the airbox after removing the mounting bolts. Tighten the straps, and you wind up with more than enough room to remove and install. Also helps with making sure you don't pinch the boots. A little brake fluid to lube the boots up, and they go back on easily and tight.

But, having pods does make it even easier.

Okay, rant mode on. I've worked in tens of 1970's inline-fours and without a doubt, the ones that typically run the worst are where some idiot PO, thinking that pods were the "hot setup", pulled the airbox, put on pods, and then proceeded to screw up the jetting to holy hell.

Whew too.

Someone needs to hop on this...

Fugget about da Stupor Bowel - there's a FREE trailer to be scored:

Looks legit and useful too - if I still owned a car or truck I'd be all over this.

Cheers

Jim
