What's it worth? I had asked in the trials section but didn't get much of a reply, also been eyeballing it for a while.

The guy obviously doesn't know anything about his own bike. T-dubs had kick until halfway through 2001. And doing the conversion yourself is overwhelmingly easy. Even an '87 that has been run over by a monster truck should still have a working kick for you.

Bleh, some TW owners grind my gears. It's a terrific little bike, but it's not worth KBB and Nada combined with some extra hundreds sprinkled on top for flavor.

Nearby Power Motorsports in Sublimity has a brand new 2013 TW for $3,999.

Thanks for the heads up. DO they charge a ton of "fees" as well?

I have never bought from them, but when I called to inquire about their TWs last year they said that all of their TW pricing was out-the-door except for license and registration.

My local dealer has some 2013s left, and out the door they wanted a little under $5k. And that was with her knocking off setup fees, still had freight fees though. Unfortunately for the dealers, and you, there's very little margin on the smaller bikes. Meaning, unless they're desperate for floor space, they won't haggle much.

I have seen low mile 2006-8 sherco's and other trials bikes going for around 2700 - 3000. I'd start the bargaining at 2000 at least for a 99' personally.

For what it is worth I have seen the number $3800 as the dealer cost bouncing around a couple of the TW forums. Not sure how true that is but I figured I would share.

No idea why anyone would waste money on a new TW anyway, get a used one for a fraction of the price, they are indestructible little bastards.

2 reasons.

Good luck finding one that is reasonably priced and good luck getting to it before it sells.

Sure...but missing the extra hundreds sprinkled on top for flavor.

I just bought my KLR from Sublimity Power Sports, the deal they quoted was exactly what I got, no extras like freight or set up added on.

Let's see it! What color combo? I sure like the bumblebee set-up I saw recently.

Under $5k for a new TW?: That's one of the best buys ever in all of motorcycling for such a versatile machine. I can't imagine it losing much of its value the minute you drive out of the parking lot.
