Hello FloridaSteve,
I think, they are - or were in their days. I proved it with my 1981 Triumph Tiger Trail, even today they do it, for example, with the Triumph Scrambler (take a look at that thread). I even did it with a Suzuki GN 400 TD, a road-version of the old Suzuki DR/SP 400. But I won't show this bike here, that doesn't fit to the theme. But I'll try my Trail, hope it works!
