No...I'm dead serious about the early Pentons. They were probably the most significant off-road motorcycles in the history of the sport, and a lot guys think they were pretty good looking bikes, too...myself included. I was joking about the '91 Suzukis though, which were among the ugliest two-wheeled vehicles ever produced. And for the record, the thread that you're subscribed to here is aptly titled, "Best looking dirt bike of all time," which by definition, would include the "old nails" as well. Just cos it's new doesn't mean it's good looking!

Enjoy.

not to ruffle any feathers, but...

The Triumph Scrambler is not a dirt bike. It's a "dual sport" which I have come to find out is a street bike with some off road capabilities. I've taken mine offroad, but that didn't make it a "dirt bike." It remained a "dual sport."

I am the owner of the 2006 Triumph Scrambler in the pic and I've had a blast both on road and off w/ my bike. That said, it wasn't supposed to be a dirt bike. Dirt bikes are one trick ponies - usually thumpers with long travel, low weight, alot of plastic, etc..

I'm not an expert, but my novice opinion is that Husquavarna makes the best looking dirt bikes, and always has...

I had a F800GS late last year but sold the damn thing. The purchase price of the Scram plus the cost of the mods works out to about the same as a stock F800. So what's the diff? ...the size of the smile! So I cannot be accused of hyjacking this thread, take a look as this...

Any of the recent Oberdan Bezzi concept drawings would make for "Best looking dirt bike of all time" entries, if any of the bikes actually existed.

Also a well known Designer like Oberdan Bezzi, sometimes, draws liberally from existing projects, like this one !

Make Model

Highland Dirt Track
Year 2006
Max Power 85 hp 62 kW @ 6000 rpm
Max Torque 84 Nm 62 ft. lbs @ 5000 rpm
Dry-Weight 129 kg
Fuel Capacity 12 Litres

Hence,

HIGHLAND 1 - Oberdan 0

Cheers,

Perceptive guy ..

Indeed, IMO, there are more resemblances than colour

OFF-TOPIC

Anyway, that BENELLI 450 MOJAVE (Oberdan Concept bike) is derived from the original BENELLI MOJAVE 360 Model Year 1969

END OFF-TOPIC

Special beauty

After nine pages of posts ... we may also speak about the Terra Mostro ..

It would be great if Ducati would consider inserting these kind of scramblers into their official Product catalogue
