They should have a special trials event for KLR riders! Now that would require some MAD skills!

Maybe if we took the seat off the KLR it would not be such a pig.

Throw a trials tire on the back and ride it on the 4 (beginner) line...

hmmmm..... interesting idea. I wonder if the TKC80s are sufficient.

That would be great - all my Delaware ADV buddies taking pictures and videos as I fall off my KLR on the beginner course!

In other news, I am home this morning because we had no heat last night, so we have a service guy in checking out the furnace. Yesterday was the first time it was cold enough around here to use the heat - first time since we moved into this house in May. And it didn't work. It didn't take too long for the guy to troubleshoot the problem. Outside the house at the gas meter, the gas line off - locked off. No gas = no heat!

Funny thing is that my wife works for the gas company! She's will take care of it from this point. We'll see how long it takes for Delmarva Power to come and unlock the line.

In the meantime the service guy is doing the annual maintenance on the furnace. Might as well since he is here.

I'll set up some obstacles in the yard and practice my trials skills in the meantime.

Interesting that you've got gas heat, but not gas appliances.

We'll be expecting to see you bunny hop that KLR onto a log and ride it out.

The front would be fine, but you'd need a trials rear.

If you really want to do it, I'll loan you a Pirelli MT43 trials rear. I have only one spare though. If anyone has a dirt bike/dual sport and would like to give it a try, the tire is available. You guys will have to work out who gets it.

In all seriousness, I think it would be fun to ride a dirt bike/small DS on the 4 line. I recently rode my XR at the event property while my trials bike was down and had a grand time trying to ride it like a trials bike. The 4 line is pretty benign - no big obstacles. It'll be the tight turns that get you.

Maybe the kid down the street will lend me his little bike.

No, I think it's best that I leave the trials riding to the experts.
I had enough trouble following Gary around on the regular trails at last years' event.

Gary - how's the foot?
Here is mine from my last foot injury:

If the pain is too much we have ways to relieve it:

I'm doing ok. Foot isn't hurting too bad but the bruised ribs hurt like a bitch. I'm not sure if my right knee took a hit or not, it is swollen a bit and a little sore. If it is still sore on the next doctor visit I'll talk to him about it.

I've been working pretty much full days except I have been taking extra time at lunch to ice the foot for a while each day.

Ice you say? I got some ice today as well.

But not for my foot.

Now it's time to relax and catch up on my ADV threads (Chubby Girls):
