I'm thinking of ordering a set for mine.

BTW, I went to get my DRZ out of storage today where it has been sitting since our move from Burbank to Wrightwood early last September and it would not start. Going to pull the battery and recharge it this weekend.

Hope to see you all at Rowher sometime soon on the DRZ or one of the sidecars. I added a URAL to the fleet because it can hold more beer than the KLR/Enduro S/C.

There were riders coming in till about 10:00. They were scattered all over the place.

Interesting but no thanks, Randy. Around $1500 for new trans with only one prototype out there - I'm not that much of an adventurer. Hope it works out if you decide to go ahead. Keep us posted.

I'm seriously considering doing this mod because of the type of riding I plan to do here in WW.

I would keep the 14/47 gearing on my 2000E. This new gear set would give me the same low gear I have but give me max torque at 66mph in 5th and max power at 86mph and max rpm would be well over 100. This same bike should then work equally well for prowling Rowher, attacking ACH and cruising the super slab between WW and Glendale

My bike has the Eddie Sisneros 441 BB treatment so it would be able to pull these speeds.

Purchasing this kit would allow me to sell one of my KLRs, which would fund the project and eliminate the costs of owning and maintaining a second motorcycle. I also would not need to get the second set of wheels/brakes/gears that I was planning to get for the DRZ for the road work.... and it would then require 20 mins wrenching time each time I wanted to swap them.

I'll keep you posted and hope to see you at Rowher once I get the bike running and a software project finished.

We blew trough before 0800..... Not a sole to be found,frost and snow on the ground on the jump trail

It's Tejon Trail. Go about 2 miles north from Lower Scrub Oaks where we camped, towards the Gorman entrance, then hang a left and head for the hills....
