Ghost, I'm no food critic. You have to try real hard to get bad BBQ in central Texas IMO. Muellers was very good. If you don't like a pepper rub, then you might not like Muellers; as they cake the rub on there.... so the meat has a lot of pepper.
I got some pork ribs and some brisket. I enjoyed both.
Next time I go, I am going to get the beef rib. I called a friend who lives close, and he got the Beef rib and it looked like a dinosaur leg.

I hate you guys

Dahveed was headed to his table with a tray full of food, but he inhaled it before my friend Gene and I made it to the table, so I am not sure what he got, but I know he had some of the pork ribs.

Yes, and I had no Shiners there, but when I was in Shiner Texas today, well I stopped by the brewery and sampled some very fresh ones.

I'm now in the Canyon Lake area. I was going to run down to leahy and Tarpley tomorrow and come back to canyon Lake and then on Sunday work my way up to Fort Worth. Lets meet somewhere and ride.

I'll roll anywhere on the wee. I'm starting out close to Rio Vista, so anywhere you want to meet will be fine by me. I've got a ranch down on the Colorado river at San Saba that's on the end of an eleven mile gravel road. That might make a nice ride. I had a buddy go by last weekend to check on things and he said my whole place is covered in Blue Bonnets. Gage Barbeque in San Saba is always good. Just a thought.

Yeah it's catclaw road off of FM 500. Nice native gravel road. Wash boards included. I've got three miles of river frontage, and several places to get down into the bottom and play.

Thanks for the North Hill Country Tour - and lunch at Loco Coyote! Everything was great - It was a wonderful first trip for me and little red now that she is mine. We went home way of Valley Mills then by my sister's in Crawford. We are home in one piece and discussing the day.
