Well, I've never been to prison, so I don't know what those mean, but I'll take your word for it - she can handle herself. The KLR is a good starter bike then. Can get a used one for a reasonable money. Pretty simple to keep running. I like mine.

Me too. What are you riding now? Your signature lists many bikes, so I cannot tell which is current and which are past bikes...

Oh I agree, put 89,000 miles on mine. Used it to commute to Stephenville from Gatesville while finishing college. I put about 200 miles a day everyday on that bike and I did not baby it. In fact, I kinda tried to kill it and it just kept going and going. WAS still running when I traded it in on an XR650.

What's that bright yellow stuff in those outdoor shots? Oh yeah, sunshine!

None of that in these pics from the day before!

After the fall, checking to see if if everything is straight and intact.

Not straight or intact. That little finger kept getting bigger!

While we're stopped, let me introduce you to the hottest new dual sport product never to hit the market, the Okie Engineering Front Fender Extender. Thousands of Okie-hours (that's about .0143 normal man-hours) and hundreds of cents were expended in product development. Come on, you know you want one!

The cool weather seemed to have kept the moss to a minimum so the low water crossings weren't too treacherous.

Probably the most challenging road of the day overall with a fairly sketchy hill and some slimy mud holes. The greasy ruts beside the exotic cattle pen were probably the most treacherous single spot of the day, though.

These are the roads that felt good at speed with nice controlled drifts out to the edge, but once slowed down and out of the zone were so snot slick that I almost dropped it several times just getting back going again.

The mighty GS in da house!

The obligatory Texas county courthouse picture. What the hell is that on the very top? A pig kicking up it's heels?

I kno that hilly billy road....CR4250 behind the Lime plant between FM219 & FM2602. Not shown very good on my Roads o Tx book....but it's definately there. The BuellStrom & the dearly missed Transalp have been down it many times already, even though I was just turned on to it recently by a friendly CamoKLR rider. & the slime....CR3137 for sure. East & West Middle Bosque Rd is always nice (mostly paved, cept for the drop down to the crossing).Runs kinda behind the Bush y ville spread between Crawford & Valley Mills.

Hopefully I might be able to help....Roads o Tx pg 90-91

Middle Bosque-look for the CR running from Hwy317 S outside of Valley Mills to the west over to Coryell City on FM929

CR3137 is off of Hwy6 N out of Valley Mills past FM854 intersect a bit.Runs SW toward FM2602 at Lane's Chapel CR3135.

CR4250 s not acurately shown but generally is off of FM2602 not too far N of Lanes Chapel at a sharp R/H bend in 2602.This is actually CR3150.The intersection of it & CR4255 is not shown clearly but the other end is at a low water crossing intersection of CR? which starts just west of Clifton on FM219 & ends further west at FM182 S of the crossroads with 219.

I've been trying to post my highlighted CR maps but my scanner won't work.I have resorted to taking pics of them & will try to post those later. These maps are from Rds o Tx

AARRRGGGH my pic files are too large.Whoever wants them PM me with your email & I'll send em.

Canon, I have not really worried about routes in the past, but I will play with my Mapsource and see if I can down load my local treks. If there is better program to map with to post let me know and I will work on it
