[2 days & 690 miles later.........Here's Waco.....oops
....now lets see what I can show him of east Tx] NOT KILLED Add another 425 to that mileage...Rolled in about 6:30pm. Left Olaf in Henderson...he should be in northern Mississippi by now. After the droning windyness of 164 between Mart & Buffalo...The traffic infested 79/84 up toward Palestine....294 to Alto was (to borrow a term from Olaf) AWSOME. It's always a nice ride thru the trees. Also checked out 225 from Douglas on 21 east of Alto to Henderson. Seriously swervy piece of pavement.... Laced together a bunch o nice roads on the way back too. Henderson TX323 FM838 TX135 FM177 FM855...But the best had to be FM837 from Frankston to west of TX19 ....Another AWSOME asphalt attack. From there the trees kinda thinned out lettin the wind do it's thing....BRUTAL east/west riding. STILL FUN THOUGH!!

Bad body parts
Well, SOG has bike problems, I have bad body parts. Went for a walk on Wednesday evening, you know, for health. Walked about 30 minutes and got back to the car and my right knee was aching. Drove home and sat in front of the computer for 30 minutes and it was really stiff (the knee, not any part that a guy would like to have really stiff). Iced it down while I watched some TV and took a pain pill and went to bed. Thursday morning it was still stiff, but no big deal. By the time I got to the office, I was limping pretty good. An hour later I could hardy walk. Had to get crutches to get down to the parking lot and have someone run me to the ER. The knee was now grapefruit sized and pretty painful. They eventually figured out that I have an accumulation of blood in the knee. It should get better on its own, unless I damaged the cartilage which will take longer to heal.
![]() The moral of the story - do NOT exercise for health reasons.

An update for the big bike. Yesterday I found a huge scrape on the professionally painted upper fender/beak thingy. That makes it official. Absolutely every part I had powder coated or painted or purchased new for the transformation to flat black/carbon has to be removed and re-done or re-bought (except for the "carbon-look" TT seat). Son....of.....a.....bitch. Fuckin' horse. I was some kinda pissed so I left it with the key in it last night on a busy road. Maybe my luck will change and somebody will steal it. Happy Easter!!

MX Boots
I want to upgrade to some motoX boots. Any recommendations on where to get some in DFW or Houston (I end up near both on a regular basis)?
I haven't been impressed with Cycle Gear's in store selection and would like to try them on before buying.

Got mine there. But be prepared, they're not the walmart of cycle stores - they don't sell cheap junk. Don't make the trip expecting to find the deal of a lifetime there on some sort of knock-off boot. I ordered my new helmet from Revzilla.com. They have an adventure riding section and I was pleased with my one order. They offer many product reviews on video.

Well, I hope no one got blown away last night in the storm. Lost power for about four hours at my place last night. Had an oil lantern lit supper.
