Had a slit next to the valve stem.
![]() Bikemaster tube with nothing sharp around it that I could feel. Patch is holding for now. I'm going to ride it around some tonight and if it's up in the morning I'm going to head out for an early morning ride. What time is everyone meeting for breakfast in Hico?

Hico at 9 o'clock, or as soon as Schick gets there. So let's go with 9-ish. ;)

Yardracer, I really don't know if that's a good price. I'm not a huge fan of that dealer. They're not bad, but I've had limited dealings with them and they seem not as friendly as other dealers. Also, their parts prices are sky high. I'd recommend you do business with Lone Star BMW in Austin. The only reason I posted that to you was because it showed up in my mailbox.

Of course not. You can make it. You're 23. You don't have to stop to pee every 30 minutes. I'm 80. I have to stop to pee when I'm on the way to pee.

Do you run rimlocks? You could have split the tube if you were running low pressure, had the valve stem nut tightened down on the rim, and slipped the tire while accelerating with low pressure. I wouldn't recommend running that nut down to the rim. Keep it on the valve stem but back it all the way out and snug against the valve stem cap. That will allow the tube to slip with the tire and not rip the valve stem off or tear.

Nope not running rim locks. I wasn't that low either maybe 15 or 16 psi. Of course without rimlocks it's easier to spin the tire and the nut is on there so I guess that could be it. There was much tire spinning going on.

wow, that makes me feel like a giant lol. Thanks for the offer but I'm afraid were I to get it it would just stand around in the garage for a long time and that IMO defeats the purpose of having a bike. I sometimes wrestle enough with the 300 lbs my bat mobile has, guess I really ought to do something about my leg strength - besides putting them up on the coffee table....

It stayed up all night and I left the house with 23 psi in the rear tire. I ride about 3 miles and it's down just below 15 and into the area where my little slime gauge won't read anymore so I limped it home.
I'm going to see about a new tube today.
