How long is James going to be in the hospital?

I'm thinking about a ride this weekend, and might end up near DFW. Depends on if I take a new coworker out for a tour of the local roads. If I do, I'll keep it local, likely the 3 sisters. It's less than a 300 mile loop from my driveway.

Oh. Hell No! You don't recognize the fashion stylings of Waco's own "Catherine's Stout Shop"?

James will be gone from the hospital by Friday. But Thursday is my guess.

Veriest made it most of the way to Hillcrest. His bike fritzed and he is limping home. 5 folks headed over to see Txjames.

We're thinking bad gas. My bikes been eatin' beans I guess.

After it cooled off it started up and seems to run fine but it's in the back of the truck now. I'll run more thorough diagnostics closer to home.

Thanks for all the help fellow ADV'ers (you know who you are).

Just rolled in from the James visit. Yardracer, I told him you said to get well. There was no hugging as you had requested. You can give him that hug yourself when you see him next. I'm sure he'd much rather get it straight from you than from me. And I'd rather you give it to him as well.

James was looking good. He's still tires easy, but he's spirits are good. Met his wife. He definitely married well. He said his departure is dependent on his pain management. I think he was still in some serious pain, but that's to be expected. Hopefully tomorrow he'll be much better. If he is, it was probably due to sunshine we spread while there tonight.

Sorry we missed you Verist. Glad you made it home. Good luck getting it running again. Which bike was it?

Good seeing you Hasbeen. Its been a while. Nice also meeting your wife.

We had the DFW folks represented by Dahveed & the Austin/SA crowd by Schizzman. Has Been...You're considered a local being in the Whitney area. Slowoldguy & myself rounded out the local section (Tom only ate Q with us since he's been spending visitin time with James since the get off.) Speakin of Q....I think everyone was happy with their orders....especially the burgers. We took James a nicely prepped Q sandwhich too.
I'll say this...TXjames is a pretty resilant dude.I got more crash details & he's got my vote for WILLPOWER!! after a crash. He's really wantin to get outta there & go home I think, but is realistic about his recovery too.

more later...

TxJames

This kid-This kid. Wow, even at my best I dont think I could have reacted-healed-had better attitude-had better outlook. I mean terrable get off-tore up scoot- read the most expense(drs and hosp)- pain-hes trussed up like a turkey-both hands left shoulder-and both legs wrapped to keep the blood from pooling-and still hes grinnin and his mind is still able to focus-ON SCOOTERS. Glad to meet you SChizzman. My wife and some others call me JD when they especially want my attention. I only hope that TxJames can heal up as good as Dahveed. Good on ya!. I forgot(how could I) with all the postings that SOG had his get off and went to give him the (old firm handshake). But hes too smart and stuck out his right hand.. Mr Toomch still throwing around those road numbers like we could remember them as well as him. Oh everybody can except me. NEEEEVEER MIIIIND

It's running now but it cuts out every once and a while or flat out dies and won't start. It looks like the blown fuse was from having a 7.5 amp in the fuel pump slot when it's supposed to have a 10 amp.
