Sadly, that's what I'm going to do. Well, some motorcycle maintenance as well.

I just returned last week from Big Bend and the rumors of Kathys Kosmic Kafe closing are correct. Was eating and drinking at the bar at the Starlite Theatre and Kathy was the bartender. Said she had to sell as it was just too much trying to take care of her mother and run the place.

The weather was perfect and saw NO Cops in the area. Border Patrols were out of course. As usual, just waved us through. Cool nights and warm days, my kind of riding. Also made for great camping. This the the time of year to explore this awesome part of Texas.

New guy here again!

Well I took the KLR on an offroad trip to Barnwell this weekend and learned a ton.. like that steering a bike on loose rocks is more of a suggestion than a command. (I've done a ton of offroading with trucks - but I'm new to bikes)

I just followed my truck friends around at very low speed, which made things harder at times, but it was still fun.

I went up some very steep, loose stuff and managed not to drop it somehow. I did a lot of slow sliding using the rear brake on the downhills. Did some 2* and some easy 3* 2-track trails.

Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of the bike except this one of the sticker my marine friend decided to decorate my bike with:

Oh... and this one is good (me in the foreground):

Texas Dirty Map Project

I got inspired. Or I've lost my mind. One of the two.

Your meds must be working. Last I checked Hammond's had bright red tables.
