If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Did you see the GHOST! Looks like you did. It scared Clark so bad, his beard turned white!

Hey, I'm thinking about maybe heading out to Daytona for Bikeweek to see the sites and do some demo rides. Anyone been in the last few years?

Nevermind, I just checked the weather and I'm heading west instead.

Change of Plans

Okay gentlemen, looks like my big adventure out west has been moved up by about a month. Here is what I know:

Leaving San Angelo at dawn on April 6. Returning to San Angelo on Sunday, April 15. The first two days are going to be slab out to LA.

Beyond that, I'm open to suggestions. Have at it boys....

I would suggest you ride towards 4 corners area then up into southern Utah. Try to make it up around Moab. Hwy. 12 is a must do on the way back down towards LA. All of southern Utah is awesome. Death Valley is also that time of year. Weather that time of year should be great. Great ride....

Taos & Santa Fe NM are cool towns you should check out. Great roads out of Taos. Hwy. 64 over towards Farmington is excellent. Monument Valley is also outstanding GS riding area. Located right at UT & AZ border.

Noted. Thanks!

Making a list over here of all the roads mentioned and will produce a route from that. Don't want to overplan but want to have a list!

Are roads in Colorado going to be no good in early April?

You need a high elevation route and a low elevation route and stay willing to ditch one for the other as weather dictates. I've ridden out West plenty in April and it can get real sketchy. Hell. It can get sketchy in May. Now that I think about it, it snowed on me in Yellowstone on June 1 one year.
