Nope no joke. Follow your throttle cable down the right side of your bike to where in come to the TB. The cable is very easy to knock out of place. Pull up on the cable until you can see the base of the shielding, then lower it back down, straight, into the cup that holds it in place. Sometimes the shielding will get hung up on the top of the cup making about 3/16th of an inch difference in throttle from one side to the other.

I'll check after work. I'll activate my google fu but a pic would be helpful! Don't go out of your way to take one though.

I can't imagine this is a bigtime issue. Thing runs like an absolutely dream otherwise and one extra click on the starter and it fires right up. I guess well see!

Could be bad gas or throttle issue but nothing major. If it is the throttle cable it will run rough and really run bad when you try to ride it. Will not improve. If you are having intermittent running issue, my first thought is bad gas...it sure fucked my bike up for about 5 or 6 tanks of fuel. I wound up running 3 cans of SeaFoam through mine before it acted right.

On another note...anyone want a KLR 650 with big bore kit? I am really thinking I have to have an HP2 FUCK YOU DAVE! Just want as close to my money back...nothing wrong with it...just really want the HP2

So I can do crazy shit like this:

Different kinds of Sea Foam

They do make several different kinds of Sea Foam products. The one you want is Motor Treatment. It can be used in the fuel system or in the crankcase. We sold tons of the stuff when I worked for NAPA Auto Parts in McGregor. There is also a spray to use in the intake throttle bodies for cleaning carbon buildup & varnish. You definately DON'T want their Trans Tune.

I've got a bike in storage that would fit that without modification.

Apparently only the bike had to cross the finish line to win.

Did the TPS reset after work yesterday and it started fine. This morning, same old story, however it did not die....it came damn close though.

Picking up some sea foam to give that a shot.

As far as the throttle cable goes...well, I just have no idea what I'm looking for.

If you are still going to make it to Ghost's on Saturday maybe one of the more mechanical types there can take a look.

Yeah, if I could afford it that's where I'd get one. Looks like a view of the long, back straight and the tight couple of turns at the end.
