That is pretty pimp. Nothing like getting out on the open road and the wind blowing through your hair. Armpit hair that is.
Also I think Mud's got it right. With your handle bars that high you can keep the deep water out of you handle bar electrics. To each their own. Odie

![]() I guess the rules just don't apply to some people. Went to enjoy his 1 1/2 hour lunch at another place next door. Do you say something or just let it go...

Excellent pic!! Man, if ya don't have fun on your pigadvbike on that road, just sell it.
I had a great weekend. Wish it was a cooler at times but....it'll do. Great evening at Ghost Ranch on Friday on the little Harley. Saturday back all day at Ghost Ranch and had a great ride led by BigDave and TXjames. Doing my best trying to keep up with the big dogs on KiLleR. That poor bike. ![]() And then yesterday a great run to Mary's. Up by the traditional way but back home by some new stuff. Found a couple of keepers north of Ranger. One that was outstanding. Maybe 751? Dang. It was near perfect. Only drama was my XR peep ran smooth outta gas coming into Morgan Mill (no gas). Looked back and he wasn't there. Oh, shit! Went back to get him, dawdled around long enough looking for gas, I ran out of gas, too. Shit. But I was right across from the house that a teenage boy had mentioned as a "possible". Sure enough, he had gas 2 gallons in a 6 gallon can . So there I go, carrying a 6 gallon gas can with .5 gallons in it under my chin. That's harder than it sounds, BTW. Got enough in his to barely get him to Stephenville. (Apparently I took a gallon and a half of the two gallons available.) Oops. We parted ways and I was in the zone all the way home. 205, 51, 203, River Road, 798, 56, 1637. For the moment my high speed instability is gone. Little Harley handled the wind fantastic. 4400 miles on the Little Harley in 4 months. Not bad at all.

Yeah, he did well. We came to the first water crossing and it was just a muddy hole, not a real crossing. We're all on big bikes with Anakees or tourances and I thought the mud might get us, but no we plowed right through it. That was a bonus puddle on Deep Down. Then we popped up and rode north on 51 to Edwards. We turned left and DIDN'T do the Paluxy crossing where the girls with bikini's were. Generally, dropping your bike in front of bikini clad women isn't the way to impress them. Of course, I'm single, so what do I know...

As usual, this giant line of storms has split and is passing me by to the north and south. I'll get some wind damage is all.

Big Bird (get it? it's a yellow 1100GS....) is on the road again... It'll probably all get torn down again in a month or so, so this weekend I'm gonna get some riding in.
Devil's backbone maybe? I haven't been outside of Austin to explore much yet.. |
