When you make mistakes under a hang glider, it throws you in the water (or onto the beach) from a much greater height!

For example, (and this is speaking from experience), hang gliding without stereopsis tends to include hard landings.
I get what your saying and thanks for the advice. I've done alot in my 46 years on this rock and i'm looking forward to the next adventure.

and sure, a small boat can be fun / quaint / cozy on a sunny nice weekend when you're having fun, but after days of rain, or when tempers flare a boat gets mighty small, mighty darned quick and there's no where for anyone to go to "escape".

can you cruise away to a foreign land on a smaller boat, yup, but there will be trade-offs.

Hey Geode, you didn't happen to spend a winter in the Bahamas around about 1982/3 did you?

This guys is either lying or not telling nearly the full story. I remember when he got this press coverage and tried to figure out what he did.

He says he got all this air travel for $418 total for all these flights. Later he says he used BA frequent flier miles, for example. But if you look at BA awards tickets, they carry huge taxes and fuel surcharges, etc. Most cross continent flight BA award tickets will still cost $600-700.

So he is either knows the trick to magically not pay taxes and fuel surcharges on these flights, or he is lying. More than anything, it just looks like he is selling credit card leads to make some real money off this deceptive viral campaign.

How to Travel Around the World for $418

in theory, this could be correct, but not exactly as he said it. from my experiences, if i were to fly, say from Vancouver to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific (oneworld partner, same as American Airlines), i asked before, i think she said it would cost roughly 60,000 miles and about us$300 in tax, for a round trip. if you changed from oneworld carriers to Emirates (off the top of my head) as they have next to nothing for taxes.

i just had a look at Emirates, SFO > NRT
