Thanks for taking the time to write this, I enjoyed it very much. You said what kind of video camera you used, but what' did you use for the pictures?

Way to go man, I just read the entire thing, and it was great.

The old bikes, scenery, photography, and writing were excellent. Now I need to drag my 650 out and go somewhere.

You really should consider doing the motojournalist deal, I could see Rider or Motorcyclist paying to put this in their mag.

Great report!

I've enjoyed many of the reports on this site, but this was one of the most enjoyable ones for me, and inspiring for sure... Congratulations on your completed adventure, and hope you'll entertain us all again in the future!

This has been a great read. Feel lucky, and I am sure you do, that you were willing and able to do it before getting to old to live it like you did. As a younger man in my 20s I would have not hesitated a nano second to do a trip like this myself had I had the means. After aging like we do and becoming more worried about things mechanical and logistical, we loose the drive and willingness to do a off the beaten path trek like this on an old motorcycle. You deserve not only kudos for the trip, but for the story telling, and bringing all of us who wish we had done this when we still could or would. I can say as well being a film and video producer, that your writing is a special gift I hope you do something with. Even if you don't do anything other than this and a few other trips, it has been well used.

We met this guy on a BSA thumper. He wasn't too chatty; BSA owners are prissy, just like their bikes.[/QUOTE]

Nice report, though marred by this and your anti-Goldwing elitism. They're just motorcycles. No one is a cartoon.
