Is there a Yamaha TTR 230 thread?

Hi, everyone-I just bought this bike back in June & really like it a lot! I can't find too much about it on the forum.

I guess the XT 225 thread is as close as i'll get. That's ok, though. They look like they have the same engines.

I guess there is one now!
They're great bikes. Same engine as the 225 but with different carb., exhaust. and better suspension.
I carry mine on the back of the RV. Here it is in AZ.

The "official TTR 230 thread"

I like your bike! I see it is street legal & was wondering what kit did you use or did you just buy the parts individually? I was looking at the baja designs kit & was thinking about getting it this coming spring. I bought mine new & it's gonna stay factory stock for reliability. I couldn't be happier with this bike: It does everything I want it to do as a trail bike. I would like to make mine a true adventure bike by making it street legal.

No kit, just parts as needed.
If you go to your profile and fill in your location people in your locale can comment on street legal equipment needed there.

I know this is kinda an old thread, but did you have to do a stator rewind after adding a headlamp? I know the TTR 230 is only about 60 watts or so.

I'd like to know what parts you used for tail lamp, mirrors, etc. I know what the requirements are for where I live to make a dirt bike street legal (Arizona). Just like to get where you got the parts from and if a rewind was necessary.

It will depend on what lighting you use. I use a 35w headlight and no turn signal lamps with the stock stator.
