Funny, yesterday seeing as how I miraculously had the day off and that I had not run the bikes in a while, I decide to run all the bikes. I had a feeling that the KTM might need a little help, as it has but a wee little battery. The battery was still good and tried it's hardest (got the bike started a few times, but the engine died out almost imediately as it had not been run in about 2 weeks), which eventually killed the battery. Luckily for me though, the bike also has a kick start; unlucky for me though, I have little to no experience with kick starts. No better time to learn right!?!? So I started kicking the bike, and actually got it up and running on like the 7th kick! And I must have a very friendly bike, because I did not get the impression that it was trying to hurt me.

Maybe you should have gotten a 525 there Scotty!

One of the bikes I learned to ride on was a '62 Duo Glide - the only year Harley used a dual point ignitition. Between that and the second "throttle" (manual spark advance on the left twist grip), my 145 pounds got thrown over the bars at least twice.

Nope, wasn't me. I didn't have enough time to go out for a joy ride, just long enough to ride each bike around for 15 to 30 minutes, enough to get the juices flowing, then back home to take care of the menial house chores that pile up during the week.

Jack, where have you been? This happened months ago!

Just in case you didn't catch it, I really like the guy's step by step he put together from his Go-Pro footage.

Or the shot taken by someone at the finish line, looking back at him, right at the moment the deer was up on him!

Looks cool Mick; not really my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the work that went into it.
