Hey SMIBs

Shameless plug here.

My fantastic truck just failed NOVA's crazy emissions testing. So I'm selling her instead of fighting the city. She's a badass 4WD, nearly rust free, and pretty much everything works. It's be a great truck for someone not stuck under the thumb of emissions testing.

Scott, the other night we were talking about boots for Pat. I just picked up a pair of these from MotorcycleCloseouts. http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/o...FQLd4AodzD0APQ

Are those waterproof? I presume you've done your research so what made you pick that boot?

The only boots I've owned are Gaerne and I've been happy with them. After the recent rash of broken legs, ankles, and toes I thought I better get something with better protection. I like the Gaerne GX-1 ($200) from the reviews I've read and was ready to buy it when they put the G-React on sale. The G-React has a little better protection than the GX-1, hinged ankle, and the same buckles as the SG-10(their next in line boot plus another $100).

It's not waterproof but from my experiences so for I've pretty much give up on relying on any claims of waterproofness. I'll just go with sealskins or some type of Gore-tex sock.

Much of my education came from the guys at Atomicmoto.com. If you're not familiar with them they are on ADV in the vendors section and haven't steered me wrong yet.
