Since we're putting up ride reports, here's a short one from my ride yesterday...

Met up with a guy from another forum (he said he lurks here too...say hey if you see this

) up in Odenton. There were supposed to be two more but one got pulled off to prepare for a wedding

and another got called into work.

It ended up being a nice chill ride around some nice roads, the only two issues for me were the crash in Chesapeake Beach that led me to take another route bypassing some good roads (I thought I knew where I was going...) and a state trooper lighting us up on Croom Road. Fortunately he was just tired of following us at the speed limit and sped by us. I'm pretty sure I saw the same guy later with his lights off ahead on a long straight.

No pics since we only stopped at gas stations. Although I probably should've tried to catch the group of cruiser looking guys with their leather chaps and vests with patches congregated at the Wawa...then piling in a bunch of SUVs

It wasn't that cold yesterday...maybe they just wanted to play dress-up?

Look at the wide spot just north of the "249". My GP's place was on the water, to the left (west), just as the land begins to widen. There's a bridge under the "249" abd IIRC, Swans is on the right.

Nothing going on there but an accident that closed down 261 right by the Rod n Reel.

I need to get down your way more often...the farthest I get that way is usually 234 and Penns Hill Rd. Maybe I'm trying to deny my SMIB roots

Croom Rd, I love that road, and Croom Station, part of a nice work around of Waldorf.

I grew up in Brandywine. Schooled in Accokeek. First house in Edgwater.
Great area lots of good roads.
