Just read through this thread, great build! Love the way that KTM fender fit. Just wondering, did anything become of that DR Big?

...Wow...its been a while .
The DR Big is gone, given away as parts and scrap. Unfortunate, but it spent most of its life outside and was for the most part a bad restoration project. Anyway, i have been so pleased with the KDR650 Adventure that i haven't felt the urge tho build another bike, but i have to admit that recent readings on fuel injection up-grades have really got me thinking . I noticed that ProCycle now carries a reasonable priced high output stator, thats cool, although mine has been running strong for at least 30k km now. The bike has been parked for the winter, but the sun has decided to come out and reveal itself in a blinding way, so i may just go uncover the old girl and take her for a little spin.
I made a few road trips last summer within BC, namely the Goldbridge/Lilloett/Cultas Lake loop. Great fun and better scenery, here's a few pics. Enjoy

Mine, all mine! hahaha

Okay, so I might be a little excited about my new purchase. I'm the proud owner Ron's Adventure DR650. I've only had it since Saturday, but already had a chance to run a full tank of gas through it. Some things are needed, but overall it's a great ride. Oh, and I thought my KLR took a lot of fuel, but this beast took 33 litres on my first fill up!!

It rides pretty well, but I am a firm believer in soft luggage, so the rack and pelican case have to go, probably will be replaced with a Giant Loop. (sorry Ron)
Secondly, the front rim has been DESTROYED, and I feel like a bit of an idiot riding it in it's current state, but what are your 20's for, reckless shit!
This bike will be taking me (safely) on the Great Divide Trail next year (I'll be 30 then), along with some riding at Moab with any luck. So, I need to get the fuelling just right, and the electrical system cleaned up a little.

This bike is well on it's way to being my perfect ride, so keep tuned if your interested in seeing a "DONE UP" DR650 get downright polished!
