There are two groups heading out, one for big bikes and 2 up led by Ray and another for smaller bikes that will utilize some class 4 roads led by Wayne. Sounds like you'd be better off staying in Ray's group.

Thanks to all the riders who turned out to enjoy the day. The morning was cool and foggy but that soon burned off to reveal a sunny and hot day. 83 degrees in late September?

The day dawned cool and foggy and that was soon to change with the fog burning off and the temperatures climbing into the low 80's. Sign up was busy between 8:15 and 8:45.

Reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

Past president Ray Atwood and Wayne Longe (Treasurer) handled sign up duties.

We even had a rider on a Ural.

Bob and Debbie Fleming rode up from Tunbridge on their Strom.

Once the group photo was taken riders were off. The big bikes had route sheets and left in small groups. The small bikes were led by Wayne and they basically shadowed the big bikes and detoured off onto nearby class 4 roads along the way.

The woods were a golden tunnel of dirt.

We rode up through Hazen Notch in Montgomery.

Stopping for a break at the covered bridge.

Covered bridge number two.

It was now getting hot.

A climb up over Clark Mountain on loose bowling ball sized rocks.

Heading to the lunch stop.

The lunch stop was Martha's Restaurant.

We continued on to the fuel stop in Orleans.

The big bikes caught up with us in Orleans.

Lake Parker in Glover.

Soon it will be winter up here but our thoughts were on enjoying the last remnants of summer.

Bill Ogden giving his bike a wash.

Gib took an unexpected detour into the giggle weeds.

Crossing an ancient bridge from days gone by.

It was now time to head back to the finish.

Coming out of the last woods section and into Johnson.

High fives go to Wayne and Ray for all their hard work and effort in laying out the route and hosting the ride. These guys provide hundreds of great memorable rides, full of adventure and fun, to hundreds of riders. And thank you to all you wonderful upbeat and adventurous riders who show up every year and enjoy the rides with us. This wraps up the CCC series of rides for 2014. Come ride with us next year in 2015 and see what all the fun is all about.

The days route.
