Thank you and hope every one has a Happy and adventurous New Year

What about waterproof ability of MotorRad jacket? If have to wear over rain gear....... how does that affect airbag's? I have a MotorRad and trying to figure out how to handle rain gear.

You would have to wear the jacket over the rain suit

HitAir vest wearer

I'm happy to say that I haven't crash tested mine yet but I will comment on a couple concerns I had before buying my vest (a HitAir MLV-PY from SaferMoto). One of my prime concerns was the bulk of the vest. I need not have worried. The PY slips on and buckles up easy, and once it's on I don't even notice it. Fits equally well over either my Klim Badlands Pro, or my AeroStich Roadcrafter Light. The added visibility from the HiViz color and reflective stripes is an added bonus. Concern two had more to do with my own mental capabilities: in the first couple weeks of wearing it I probably forgot to unplug it a dozen times when getting off the bike. Despite a firm tug on the lanyard it did not accidentally inflate. Now that I've gotten used to the "un-plug lanyard before getting off bike" step in my routine it's pretty automatic.

Thank you for the comments. Hope you never have to use it in "anger" so to speak

Suggest you get with Hit-Air to remedy this either with new materials or sell approved rain over gear. Lets be real......... get offs on wet happen more than on dry (when factor in % range of bikes on road when wet) For example rain gear gathered in places and held tighter to the under hit air coat that way with elastic. This allows the rain gear to appropriately expand to size of Jacket.

A waterproof liner can be added to the jacket right now but you asked specifically about the jacket it'self. I would suggest a waterproof jacket/suit then wear one of our vests over that.
