Really sorry to see Phil's bike so thoroughly trashed. Hope he heals quickly.
Those are great looking tyres for the little rocket. ![]() Great to see you're enjoying it. Your leg still looks like dog food, but that's to be expected. Come borrow my KTM540 any time you feel like it.

he he... no, no it doesnt sound right but hey, i'm happy for the moment.... and if i can go and do this ..... ![]() on 2-fiddy... then why wouldnt i... especially if the alternative is to sit around bangin on about 'this bike' is better than 'that bike.... hell, they all have a front wheel that points you in a general direction, and a back wheel connected to an engine that propells you along... the rest is just upto your idea of what looks good... (and after having seen some of your wive's, its safe to say we dont all have the same taste in wives either! ....) cheers! . |

Hmmmmmm
so, um, after a few chats with Physios... (i'm still going 3 times a week
) i went saw a doctor and got sent off for some xrays...xrays and report came back and mentioned 'healed' brakes ![]() (which kinda figures but also mentioned 'lucency' around the tip of the screw holding the tibia and fibula together... ![]() ('google' being my friend, tells me this is either a bone infection or a loose screw )so wednesday chated to the doc about the results... and he wrote out a referal to go back an see the Orthopedic surgeons.... that got sent of wednesday arvo...today (friday...2 days later ) i get a call from the hospital asking if i can get there for an appointment 9am Monday morning....... ... um, arh, ummm..... sure, why not...not sure if they are just 'not busy' (unlikely...) or a bit 'interested' in whats goin on in there............... ![]() i guess i'll find out...monday i go see a dude with a screwdriver... . |

Good luck for Monday GA, you don't want a screw loose at both ends I'm kinda feeling luckily embarrassed how easy I got off with my roo incident now. Best wishes. Cheers

Are you sure the quack didn't mean lunacy? Seems more likely, just saying.

so, back to the important stuff..
![]() Sunday i headed off toward Ballarat to see the surgeons first thing monday morning.. not much of a wait (dont think it had anything to do with knowing the girl workin on the reception desk )anyway, xrays and a bit of leg proding, a bone infection was ruled out, the screw holding the Tib and Fib together definately had worn a bit of bone at the screw tip and a few other issues were discussed... end result, yep, we'll take it all out ![]() so, consent forms signed, issues run thru... stack of other forms and questionares filled in and i'm on my way... I'll get a phone call and about 7 days notice.... the rod and all 6 screws are coming out, sometime before christmas.... as much as its another op and geting knocked out again, i'm happy its comin out... seems the 'rehab' should be fairly mininal... just the night in hospital (only cos i live so far away otherwise they would send me home the same day... )should be walking the next day, but have a bit of a limp for a while (whats new!) while the muscles etc that they need to poke thru heal up but that and the incissions should be fine within 6 weeks... just need to 'go easy' on the leg for about 3 months (the tibia will apparently be a bit weak as its been supported by the rod..the additional presure going thru the bone will apparently 'harden' it up over a few months.....) so now i just wait for a phone call.......... ![]() . |
