I may be able to go this weekend if you wanna "tag team" it, if you already have a new tag in mind we can set it, or simply ride through the ANF until we find something interesting to take a picture of

Hal, looks like you can post some good tags! If I get my bike legal this week I might be able to grab this one. Man that would suck for the FNG to grab a tag that's been sitting for this many months (maybe that will fire up Area51 and Buzz)

Buzz, It looks like we have out of town plans this weekend so I'm going to try and get it this afternoon. It all depends on if I can get my work done by lunch...

I was glad I got to ride with Area51 to grab that tag. I've been listening to him talk about it for months! I guess the tag was waiting for me to get a bike and ride with him.

Is this link broken or just not setup? I would like to see the locations of all the previous ones to pick a good spot for future pics!

Tag # 40

Here is the tag.

Here's the clue.

I'm glad Area51 let me post this! The tag does not involve much dirt, but if you plan it correctly you could ride all morning from Tallahassee to the tag mostly on dirt.

And what a beautiful old microwave tower it is. I remember them being scattered throughout the area years ago. There was a nice example downtown Tallahassee on the old Centel tower and one in downtown Thomasville. Hell, WCTV might have had one up Thomasville for what i can remember. They were all the rage in the late 70's and 80's.

This one has been partially disassembled as the wave guides are missing. What strikes me as a particullarly beautiful feature, they left the horns so it can stand as a momento to the past forms of communication. (I bet it's damn expensive to deconstruct one too).

So, here is one moar clue....

Nice, just went through there Thursday!
There is an old microwave tower in Madison as well.

Holy shit, y'all FF's have revived the BBTOR! Amazing, I've not been on here for a year. I'll update the map -- in due time -- and join in the fun. Of course, whether we can sustain this blistering pace remains to be seen!

On the "found tags" link, here's the thing, and bear in mind that my computer skills are slim to none: Since this game was active, Google has tightened the screws in their persistent efforts to dominate the world. As one of the consequences, it seems one cannot access any google feature (other than their bare search engine) unless you are a google subscriber and unless you log in to google with your user name and password.

I have the BBTOR map set to be "public" but users still have to log into google with their own access username and password.

If that ain't right, one o' you young bucks please provide the necessary correction.

Here's the link to try for the BBTOR maps, please let me know if it forks for you.

BTW, several weeks ago I decided to remain logged out of Google unless I was actually using one of its sites. I think Google personafies the overreaching, hyper-curious and semi-sinister interenet company. Yo, but who can do entirely w/o Google's charms? So I grab 'em and run.
