I've got the pics on my phone, but now I need to set a new one. Maybe this weekend I'll get to ride again.

Pics on the iPhone are very nice. But the tag is claimed when the pics are posted here. You never know, one of the teaming hordes of TOR players could still beat you to it . . .

Not with my schedule

BTW. Rest of the KDX parts (other than the pipe fix) are here, so now I gotta figure out how all that KIPS shit goes back together

I hear ya! However, with the rain last Saturday and my boots filling with water I didn't take the time to set a new tag. I had one place in mind, but it was not on the way back home so I thought I would get it done soon. I know the "teaming hordes of TOR" wouldn't be able to wait until I have time to set a new tag so until I get a new tag pic I will leave the current one unclaimed. If the tag gets claimed by some other ADVer then it was just a good ride with no other reason. Otherwise I will force myself to get back on the bike and find a new tag to set.

Well, the thing is, you can claim a tag w/o simutaneously setting one. That is, after you get the tag picture, jes' post it here, then set the new one at your leisure. At your reasonable leisure.

Yo, but at the pace we 'play', they's no rush. BTW, I approached the swimming hole tag from the north on today's ride. Five of us old fux rode and the dust was not so bad. A good time was had by all.

How deep was the creek? Or did you go the other way?

There are two crossings very close to the swimming hole. One is under the power line that crosses the creek. The other is a few hundred yards east.

In the following image, the red arrow is the power line crossing, the blue is one we found a week or two ago. The yellow line is our gps track through the area and the pink airbrush is closer to our actual track over ground. The GPS was a little off, but you can see the eastern crossing. And the placemark is the swimming hole.

Waterwise, we were able to continue northwest on the power line, which takes fairly dry conditions. the creek crossing itself was no big deal. We were moving from right to left on this track.

Tag grab FAIL

I did my best... 5 times, but without digging away at the berm I wasn't getting past it.. Felt like Maxwell Smart...

STUCK! Backing down after each try was fun

The Prize... 70 miles and fell 100yds shy.. even tried going around and hitting it from the South end off FH13.. .

I did make it around that big assed pine tree across the road twice

Cliff Lake says HI

Bits of road- Dirt and tar still under water.

From the other side

Good ride anyhow

Today, I saw:: Hosford, Sumatra, C-ville, Medart, Perry, Mayo, Madisson, Greenville, Monticello, and tally on the little Honda... :buzz

That one ain't mine. I fell short of the required pic, but If you want me to put up a new one, I'll jump on the proper bike tomorrow and go see what I can find.

I turned the little map tuning knob on the 690 to HOLY SHIT last night and need to see if they were telling the truth when they said "don't use this setting in the woods" anyhow

I think you laid proper claim to it. Set the new one. What's the coords on the water across the road?
