I had my one and only Japanese motorcycle, a Suzuki DR-Z 400S that took me to many amazing places around Death Valley.
Highlights include Panamint City ghost town, Father Crowley Vista Point, Darwin Falls, lots of petroglyphs, Fossil Falls (above Little Lake), Barker Ranch (charles manson's capture site) and the Indian Wells Brewing Company

I've done Death Valley by myself. Amazing how beautiful it is and life is there all around you. It ain't so dead after all. I have some of the same pictures of those cactus plant/flowers myself.

Story on the missing Germans, you will have to flick back to the first page, for some reason it open on the second page of the read.

I can't see how a front wheel low clearance van made it that far. Fairly rough wash road for anything low and slow. I don't take anything away from a motivated tourist in a rental car. Not after the El Dorado duo on cruise control headed down Hunter Mountain.

Trail Books for California etc

received those books I mentioned I had ordered some weeks ago...excellent...detailed trail information and mileage counts, directions, what to expect, what you're driving in and usually a great and interesting story about the area....highly recommend you check out the books available for many sections of california, nevada and so on...alder publishing....
