Anybody still reading this thread?
I am headed this direction...more narrow front rim and an 18 inch rear. Just got off the phone with the Wheel Works and waiting my quote. Anyone done the 18 inch and have a knobby suggestion?

I just received a beautiful 19" front with SS hd spokes and billet hub from Woody's...
Spooned on a pair of Continental Trail Attacks along with a 15t sprocket today. From a short test ride around the neighborhood, I'm liking it! It will be a huge difference from the stock 21" front and K60's I've been running on the dirt and street for the last 3,000 miles. Street evaluation begins tomorrow in Texas, Arkansas and Missouri...

[QUOTE=woody's wheel works;12363835]RIDE REPORT by Donato Yanitelli billet hubs #001
donato called me this afternoon and couldn't be more thrilled....beyond his expectations,,,700+ miles of hammering the New England back-roads,,,over the last couple of days anyway he wanted me to share this with you,,,so here goes,,, ps: all he had was these cell phone pics as a teaser,,,he's going to hire a professional photographer for his official ride report...i told him to take a ride to Jersey City and visit our very own photo wizard sakurama...and his team of magicians at Team Incomplete's headquarters...http://www.teamincomplete.com/ ![]()
got out for 600 miles over the weekend. went to max ny store to show the boys the finished product....they loved it. the configuration and set up came out far better than my hopes.this bike handles like you can not believe. built for exactly the kind of riding i love on the kind of roads that i prefer that are less than perfect in condition. elka did the shock and forks that are dog nuts.galfer rotors, conti attacks and of course woodys magic wheels take this machine to a new level. took the fork tubes up 5mm and run 30.5 psi front/ 35.5 rear. this is the ticket for back road hell rides not heavy off-road. this thing will tear through beat-up pavement, tar/chip and hard pack like you would not believe, then you can take it to a track day. thank you all for the first class work and service. p.s if anyone want's to know if it's all worth it.......give them my number. https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i...disp=inline&zw

Woody... what's the ballpark for a set of 19/17 with the Caponord X-laced tubeless rims for the F800GS? No special colors, just looking for plain black. Thanks.

if ya want satin black rims it adds $150/set and gloss black $200/set because we have to re-polish each rim after it get's stripped of the clear.. the sets run circa $2800 and if we go the billet hub n excel rim route and then seal them for tubeless you'll save circa $800 w
