Just noticed that I never updated here that I received my Woody's wheels some time back in the late summer/fall and I am very happy with the results. I opted for OEM hubs, but if I had to do it again, I may choose the billet option.

Either way, they give me great confidence and work well.

Ideally, I want some discs and rotors too so I can quickly swap my street and dirt setups. Those parts are expensive...still looking for a deal.

Buy with confidence.

Hey Woody!
I sent you a pm a while ago.....I'd like to get some info.....

The scenario is that I spend the weekdays with my stock wheels and Annakees (or any other ds tire), then on the weekend, I swap the OEM wheels out and put in the new wheels with some knobbies. Just a simple swap out.

I understand that you give two options:
50/50 (dirt/street)
and
100% (dirt)

I like the 50/50 option.
I guess I need new front and rear rotors. Will I have to get any ABS-related hardware? Will the ABS still work?
I'd like to keep the tire sizes the same. Also, I want both wheels to be tubeless. I understand that you use the nuetech tubliss system for the front 21" wheel. I have heard conflicting things on how good the tubliss system is. In that case, I will go tubes up front and tubeless in rear.
I don't know if it's worth going with a 19" up front. I happen to like the 21" wheel.

Does the 50/50 keep the stock width for the wheels?
Also, what are the color options?
I'm confused over all the choices and info....as you can see..
Thanks.

I understand that you give two options:
50/50 (dirt/street)we convert to 1.85x21 front rim and 3.5x17 rear can use stock/oem tire sizes
and
100% (dirt)we use 1.6x21 and 2.5x18 for hard core riding and a bit wider for easier stuff

then we also convert to 2.5x19 front with oem resr 4.25x17 for outrageousely fine mainly street touring application[can be sealed for tubeles too]

I like the 50/50 option.
I guess I need new front and rear rotors. we recommend galfer wavy/floating rotors sporting galfer green pads...work better for less $$$ Will I have to get any ABS-related hardware? if ya want ABS you'll need the ABS rings too!!!Will the ABS still work? only if the ABS rings are installed

I have heard conflicting things on how good the tubliss system is.tubliss ads state for off road use only In that case, I will go tubes up front and tubeless in rear.10-4,,,no problem
I don't know if it's worth going with a 19" up front. I happen to like the 21" wheel.like i said earlier ,,,if ya spend alotof time on the slab and keep the bike on fire roads and smoother trails you'll be fine

Does the 50/50 keep the stock width for the wheels?no,,,i gave specs above
Also, what are the color options?if ya go with billet hubs ,,we can get a variety of colors NC,,rims too,,but that adds another $75-100 per rim depending on satin or glossy finish
I'm confused over all the choices and info....as you can see..
Thanks.
hope that helps abit

Wicked Monster Front Wheel

Woody,

What would it take to get this front wheel set-up?

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=13

Any chance that is just a fat tire spooned onto a normal sized rim? (I know that isn't a GS, I'm not even sure if it is a 21" rim.) Could a slightly wider rim be used with the stock hub, brake rotors, etc? I know the fender would have to go, and brake lines extended or re-rerouted.
