Not exactly sure why, but thanks a million, mate!
Here's to our future biker girl Andrea.
(WHY did you have to post this photo?? )
Regards from the Vosges Mountains in France - it's good to be on the road again.

Wow, the RGV looks excellently maintained. They still can be had for a fairly reasonable price here in Japan, but finding one in that kind of condition is very hard. The NSR250 commands a higher price because it was the creme dela creme of that class.

Fitting as it was my Dad who took me along previously.
So thanks for posting the pics and link that made it possible

Neil.
Tomorrow is the day, actually later today
Will report back hopefully with pics.

You certainly don't see many on the roads here..... seems odd when I think back to when I started riding ..and most bikes on the roads were two-strokes. aaah - the smell! the noise! the clouds of blue smoke! ......... the seized engines!

I'm jealous! I love Durness and the surrounding area, by far the most beautiful part of Scotland. I was lucky enough to be up there earlier in the year and it was my first time in warm weather - 24 Degrees!

P.S. great thread! I've been following for some time!

Thanks - glad you like the thread...and nice to hear from you.

I totally agree about Durness,..... and the route from Ullapool to Durness is just stunning .... it's hard to make good progress as you just have to keep stopping to take it all in ! .

The A838 that passes the cottage above....then winds round the deep sea loch - Loch Eriboll...pics below .....

wow your roads look great, roads in nz are rather more challenging at times, pot holes, road works and plenty of road slump loose gravel to keep ya concentrating and then there's all the gravel ones....main reason i'm on my xtz1200!

These highland ones are fantastic!

I take it the beach that you overlook with your telescope handy isn't a nudie beach in better weather?

The RG250 was my first bike after passing my test in 1988. I loved that bike.
I wrote it off when a stoppie met a patch of sand. I was showing it off to a buyer... He just shrugged, put his cash in his pocket and walked away. Yes, the money was in his hand :(

I haven't done a wheelie or stoppie since. Lesson learned.
