Looks like an awesome place to ride. Too bad about the Poms!

It is awesome. ...if you get the chance you must come back and do it by bike.

A85 incident again ..this is what happens when car-driving tourists stop in the middle of the road, without indicating ..and dither over whether to pull into a layby or not!

Thank you ... the Canon is an amazing little camera. It's a lot of camera for not a huge amount of money.

The Drovers Inn ..the oldest Inn in Scotland ..an amazing place. The inside is amazing - looks just as it did 300 yrs ago.

Sorry about the crash.

Absolutely beautiful riding scenery. It is my dream to vacation there someday and do likewise!

Again, thanks! ...I think the Scottish Tourist Board need to start paying me! Lol!

Enjoying the pics. Keep em coming if you have more. I'm heading back to the homeland this September for my sisters wedding and plan on renting a bike while there. Only started riding 2 years ago so have never toured the Highlands on a bike. Did it on a bicycle many many years ago, looking forward to having a little more horsepower on tap.

ps. my brother had an RD250 probably around the same time you did. He had a problem with his exhaust where you could hear this bike screaming from 2 miles away (forget now if this was intentional :)). Every July he would ride alongside the Orange Walks just to piss off my true blue grandmother. Ah, the good ole days.

PS – Drink a Best for me.

Will do, thanks. David, who owns the big Kwak ZRX lives in East Kilbride. Yes come back and then you can have a Best with us.

Great photos. Quite the exotic mix of bikes. Very nice.

Also, very lovely "riding partner." I mean Sarah.

Thanks for sharing, Mark H.

Cheers ..yes there are quite a few Ducatis and Aprilias in our group. If you like exotica ..you will probably like this one ..as if they aren't expensive enough that's a £5,000 moto GP style exhaust.

Thanks. The crash was back in July, luckily no one was seriously hurt. Sarah's bike was a 'write off' but we bought it back from the insurance company and did back up like new. Unfortunately it meant she had no bike for a couple of months (but her knee and shoulder hurt too much for her to ride anyway at that point).

This was her first day back in the saddle ..can you tell she is smiling!?

Lol! He would need a quick bike to make his escape!
If you are near Glasgow in September feel free to let me know and join us on a Sunday rideout. We are out most Sundays and can show you some great roads.

Great pictures, I recognize some of the places from the trip my buddy and I took to JoG this past May. If I get my wish and get to stay here a couple more years I'll have to hit you up with some good roads to ride.

my dad is from Scotland. My Aunt Freda (his sister) goes "home" usually once a year. She is always encouraging me to go & visit my family there....but having never met them I'm hesitant to do so. Hopefully my boyfriend & I will make it there soon enough, and for sure we'll find a couple of bikes to rent and really see these beautiful roads & sceneries that you've posted. Thanks for taking the time to share!

My mom actually got upset at me when I was thinking of getting a car instead of a bike. Yup.
