Good pics and RR. My father was from Edinburgh (yes I know what Glaswegians think of that) so when I had the chance in the late 90's to live in Perth for 6 years I jumped at it. I recognise lots of the places in your pics - Killin and Glencoe especially
I had a CBR1000 at first but then traded it for a Dyna Glide Harley (yes I know what you're all thinking). The roads in Scotland are phenomenal and I really learned how to get the best from the Harley riding round the scenery (mountains are only there to make tarmac into interesting shapes - also explains why Scotland produces so many great road-racers). I hope to go back this summer with some friends and get round all the great places again. |

Nice review. You don't see many sport bike reports on this board.

Thanks, yes we do seem to be in a minority on here. Mind you, you can go 'adventuring' on a sportsbike as Nick Saunders proved when he used an R1 to go round the world. The Kinlochleven Loop

Glad you like the pics ... and wise words. Few more .... sorry for doing these 'bit by bit' sporadically but it takes a while to sort and upload stuff. Best police officer ever! As we were assembling in Tyndrum and about to leave to ride the fabulous A85 Tyndrum to Dalmally road . This police officer stopped and asked if he could join us! I was a bit taken aback and wary at first but the following 15 miles were surreal - a line of sports bikes peeling into bends at illegal speeds ..and there right in the middle of them - a full-dress police bike mixing it with the best!
If only all police officers were the same ! - What a wonderful world it would be.

Great pictures. You guys need to put that police guy on your Christmas list for at least a card. Not often you find those kind.
THanks for all the work of sharing you ride in a beautiful country.
