The great weather continued through the weekend so we got out again with some of our friends ..and rode up to Arisaig on Sunday - 320 miles of twisty roads ....

'The gang' at the beaches at Arisaig....

Some pictures of the run up to Arisaig ..... First stop at Tarbet on the A82 on Loch Lomond

Mid morning coffee and petrol at Tyndrum (Green Welly)......

Regrouping at the turn-off for the bridge at Connel .....

Lunch at Fort William ... at McDonalds sitting on the grass in the shade .....

Petrol stop again before turning on to the A830 to Malaig ...... across from the Ben Nevis Distillery.....

On the A830 .... what a great road ..... as we were riding 'two up' I gave the camera to Sarah who took all the 'on board' shots from the pillion......

You got that spot on. I tested a BMW 1200 RT and it was like rding in a Honda Accord, Crusie control, stero automaticly turned up, electric adjustable windshield... I passed and stayed with my GS, it has that feeling you got the first time you jusmped on a old honda 100 dirt bike, wind in you face feeling.

The gixxer would snarl and howl like an animal ..... the BMW is a missile ...but it has the soul of a missile ..... it's a machine, - clinical and perfect..... but almost too perfect. It's a strange thing to criticize ...but feelings and emotion do play their part our affair with motorbikes.

Leebo .....

I know what you mean ..... just blipping the throttle and hearing the induction snarl on my K5 gixxer would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. It 'connected' with one's soul.

More from Sunday up at Arisaig ...

When some got carried away with the twsties and missed the turn off ....we pulled over and waited for them to realise and return.

Some of the group arriving ...... Jeni

Mike .....

Kev and Lisa

Thumb Kudos Kamchat!

Thanks for the S100RR Review! I understand how personal bike fit and performance can be (it's TALL Mike for that reason..6'5")... give the new gixxer a spin and see what she's got. I doubt the New Suzuki gives up any handling... Gotta love that snarl too!

Awesome pictures! (Sarah too!) Wish I didn't have to hop the pond to join in...

Shiny side up, Throttle on, Leaning in!

Thumb Good eye

Kamchat you have a very good eye for photography, the subject matter doesn't hurt.

What model Suzuki is the bronze one, and is that a factory color or custom paint?

It's a GSX-R 750 K9, if I am not mistaken. And it's a factory color. Nice one as well.

The thread stil rocks. Following since the beginning, as you might remember - it just doesn't get worse.... damn.

Thanks for the ......... AllBlackPearl is spot on ..... it is a GSXR750 and that was a factory colour scheme (although not a very common one)... David got the bike new in April 2010 and I am not sure if it is a K10 model or a K9 (there is no difference other than colour options).

These pics were taken just after he got it...
