Seriously though, great thread and interesting pics. A good part of my linage is from your homeland. Maybe I'll make it there myself someday.....if the economy ever improves that is. I'm glad to see how many people are into bikes in Europe, especially the ladies (lassies?). You rarely see a lady on two wheels in the states, unless they are on the back.....it's a shame really. They are missing out on so much.

Very best regards,

Rich

Sure, that makes perfect sense. I guess what surprises me is that the dealers in your country import from Yoshimura USA rather that plain old Yoshimura (Japan)...must be cheaper.

Sorry to hijack your thread Kamchat;

Used2BeFast2 needs to get to Alabama, lots of Lady riders.

As for me, I prefer the back. I like holding on to my hubby while we ride.

BTW, you are a bad influence. That's what my wife says anyway. This thread got me off my butt to get a P&S for riding pics. Picked up a Canon Powershot A2200. Nice enough little camera. Here is one of my first shoot while riding attempts.
Nothing special, but there will be more to come. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks ..... Your wife is right! - I am a bad influence! ....... Nice pic ..... you will find that, like pretty much most things, it gets easier with practice .....
Please take care riding and taking pics ..... I'm not advocating anything I do ....... I've fallen off a lot over the years.

Good luck.

Lol! ...and thanks ...... Regarding the lady riders ...they are still very much in the minority over here .....90% of riders you see on the roads are blokes ..... but the female portion is growing - and that can only be a good thing.

We were out again on Sunday ....... I had the new bike run in for it's first service on the Saturday ...... unfortunately one of the mechanics lost a finger whilst I was there ...... chain and sprocket incident .......when he peeled off his rubber glove in the showroom the finger remained inside the glove! Ouch!

Why do people lube chains with the engine running!? Don't do it! - I know of three people who have lost fingers this way.

Pics from a cold, but dry, Sunday ... Callander ... checking out my new gixxer .....

David trying it for size ...

Roger's new 750 ...Coca Cola colour .... it sparkles in the sunlight ... unfortunately there was no sunshine on Sunday.

Lunch was hot 'fish n chips' on a cold Oban front....... despite it being August the temps felt more like October ...Jimmy's Speed Triple was in a suitable autumn colour. ....

The ride back to Tyndrum was equally brisk as on the way out ...... although we had to be carefull.... we passed two police hand held speed gun traps ...just a few miles apart! (there must be a lack of 'real crime' going on at this time of year to keep the police busy). Thank heavens for motorists watching out for each other and flashing warnings.

Into the trees .....

If you please, could you box up a few days worth of that cold and ship it to us here in Texas, it was 112, Sunday.

Keep up the great pictures!

More great pics! I pick up my new bike on Thursday morning. Going to christen her with a run up to Tyndrum. I really want to get it run in ASAP so I can enjoy the last of the season. Your pics really put me in the mood. Please keep them coming!
