Maybe Peterhansel saw the car and declined.
Could be his contract w. Mini is still active and he can't officially state he's on board. I'd be really surprised if there's no Peterhansel on this team

Not just mini but also his Monster contract.
This is a Peugeot, Total, RedBull team project... there are at least 2 conflicting sponsor deals there.

I reckon he should give Gonk a crack at the gig... good with the GPS, they already have a working relationship when bogged... and that way there is no excuse for Mudboy to leave him behind once they're out...?

At a certain point i think fast is fast; a fast moto rider is probably still very fast in a car. Add to that, the dakar isn't about just being fast. It's fast and smart. Moto winners are nothing if not smart about knowing when to push and when to hold station. I think that mentality is more important than all out speed (see barreda, colin mcrae, robby gordon, etc.)

Been a bit immobile today, but have been following the lively action, somewhat of a good warm up for the Desert Challenge

Currently 4 against 3 then for the DC?

We know that Faria is the 5th member of KTM, but to press HRC have only declared their first 3 cards, but have said they will announce their team lineup before the end of the month - so a bit more action to come

If the DC follows last years format and a close race, then the super special placings could identify the favourite early on as the quickest will start last for SS1 - are we on for an early MX shoot out, Bam Bam v's Sam

Oh, think it may gave been mentioned, but one more Peugeot to fill and all the talk in January and team orders was around Perfect Hansel - so what is he up to, after all, the rumours started around him?

Will the 4 wheel thread be a bit more active come January - at least RG won't be the centre of attention this time

Martino Bianchi - Team HRC - General Manager
The 2015 edition of the Dakar looks set to be an interesting one. Having the start and finish both in Buenos Aires, will bring in a lot of spectators, and the Bolivian and Chilean stages will be equally thrilling. Iquique really is the ideal setting for the rest-day, and you can be sure that the organisers will come up with some important stages in the Chilean dunes. It will be a Dakar that, as always, has plenty to be discovered. Team HRC is doing its utmost to prepare for this, the World’s toughest and most prestigious race. The official team line-up will be announced next week, as well as the 2014 programme of events in preparation for the big one in January 2015 in South America
