Great pics, love that long tail Porsche 917LH. I've got to get to that show one day - Amelia Island is a real nice place. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the comments. I've been wanting to go to the Pebble Beach show or this one for years now...guess which one I could afford to get to.

I was surprised by how many photos turned out OK given how many people were there trying to get photos of the same cars. Hard to understand why people use a cell phone to take pics at a car show and somehow take 10x the time to compose the shot!

Very nice - I wasn't able to go to Amelia this year - was there for the previous three years and it's a great show. Bill Warner is one of the nicest guys on the planet and he knows how to organize the event so its fun and not at all snooty.I'll be back next year without question.

I've found that my 24-70 mm lens on a full frame DSLR body is a great combination for the car shows. You really need to be able to stand pretty close to the car sometimes and still get the whole vehicle in the shot. You also really need the instant shutter response of a DSLR to grab the shot when nobody is walking between you and the car.

+1 on it being a great show without the snooty people I expected (and have found at some other shows).

How did you know what lens & camera I had?

I can understand taking pics with a cell phone when seeing a cool car or bike parked where you're not expecting to see one. Everyone there knew they were going to a car show.
