Hi Dylan

I also saw that you have posted on the Wilddog forum. I am interested to know who you have used for the manufacturing of the brackets (I stay in Centurion) - I want to do a build a similar fairing to the DRZ.

PS: Why is there no commercial (reasonably prize plastic fairing available?)

Thumb HID Bulbs are Fantastic!

Great project and love the fiberglass work. Sorry about the Donkey but I'm glad you're OK.

Since I don't have a DR, I can't suggest any way to mount the fairing to the tank. On a KLR, this would be easy.
You dont need the expensive HID specific lights. Any light with a single high or low bulb, like H9 or H11 will work with a DDMTuning HID (also cheap $) bulb and small ballast. The focus is a little off because of reflector distance, but no big deal.

I am a fan of HID lights - they are awesome! They light up road signs even in the daytime.

Go to DDMTuning.com - get a 35w HID bulb and have 3 times the amount of light.

those rally screens look mighty fine. opted for something smaller though due to the gnarly terrain the DR often gets into, and also being on a budget.

this is the rubbish bin windscreen made using the tips and template provided here: $6 DIY Windscreen : Mods & Farkles - DR Riders

below is the pic from the original designer. if you click on the pic it will bring up his youtube video of how he fabricated it.
