Bicycle 100 miles to fight against Diabetes

Hi!
I am riding in this year's Tour de Cure to help Stop Diabetes. I have joined thousands of riders from across the country in this effort to raise money to further the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes.
You may already know someone who has been affected by diabetes. I ride for the millions of people who have diabetes and for their loved ones. I ride for people just like you and me who live everyday with this disease.
Many people think diabetes is a minor inconvenience, but it is a disease with serious consequences. It is an everyday struggle of counting carbs, checking blood glucose levels and worry.
I know my participation in this year's Tour de Cure can and will make a difference. Please help me in my quest to prevent and cure diabetes once and for all by making a donation. Your generosity would mean so much to me!
Thank you!
Jon Paul Wilcox

A nice thing to do.

I know I'll come off like a dick here, but there are a good many diabetes patients who could do well to hop on a bike and fight the disease themselves, vs waiting for a "cure". Hell, lifestyle change is one of the best cures available at this time. (I am, of course, referring to DM type 2. Type 1, formerly known as juvenile onset DM, is a different animal altogether.

Oh, I do help out with various charities and nonprofits. I just found this particular charity to be a little different than others I have seen and supported in the past.

I still think it's a good thing you're trying to do.
