I live here in Diamondhead and can tell you more than you want to know.
Several years ago Brandi was involved in a drive by shooting over in Slidell La. She has also been arrested for shoplifting in Biloxi. She was also involved in an embezzlement here in Diamondhead. His brother was indicted on an involuntary manslaughter charge several years ago.

If I was Brett Favre I wouldn't answer any phone call from the 228 area code, 'cause it's probably some of his upstanding family in trouble with the law again.

Brandi Favre, the younger sister of future Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre, was arrested in a raid on a suspected meth lab in Mississippi on Wednesday, a police official confirmed to FanHouse.

Investigators arrested Brandi Favre and four others after Hancock County narcotics officers discovered the active meth lab in a condo complex in Diamondhead, Miss., according to the Biloxi Sun Herald. The five were taken to a hospital for decontamination and then booked.

"She was here, at the wrong place at the wrong time," Maj. Matt Karl, director of narcotics for Hancock County, told the newspaper.

Narcotics officers were still on scene investigating Wednesday night. They reportedly found methamphetamine cooking in the bathtub along with nine grams of the drug, worth about $150 on the street.

The site of the lab is less than 10 miles from Kiln, where Brett Favre and his siblings were raised. Favre currently lives about 85 miles north of Diamondhead on a ranch in Hattiesburg, Miss.

The NFL investigated the incident and fined Favre $50,000
As we know, Favre had is demons with addiction. He has been able to get through it. Sounds like, as is often the case, these problems are a family issue.

Favre signed his retirement papers today with the NFL.
I hope he doesn't come back.
His life has, IMHO, turned sort of tragic and I wish it hadn't. But it did. One of the best QBs ever, without question. I hope he finds something in retirement that keeps his excitement level high and that he has a lot of fun.
But please, Brett, stay off the football field. Your day has come and gone.

Look for the Vikings to be contenders soon. It seems that every team Favre leaves gets a shot at the Superbowl soon after.

the next step in Brett Favre's retirement plan is to reconcile with the Green Bay Packers. That process began Monday when Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder that he was rooting for the Packers to win the Super Bowl, that quarterback Aaron Rodgers "is the best QB" in the playoffs and that he's happy for the Packers' success.

Favre added in an e-mail: "I think they will win it all! I hope they do, if you are wondering."

To be fair, Favre always has maintained that he never felt bitterness toward the organization or Rodgers. But if you're of the belief that Favre's public statements are more calculated than they appear, then you can see where this is headed. Coincidence or otherwise, Favre's website sent out an e-mail flash Monday night with this subject line: "Packers could go all the way."

If he can win you over he can win anyone.

I still see a lot of Favre shrines in bars around here (western Wisconsin). This state wants to love him.
