Iom 2012

Okay, so let's get something straight. I'm not a photographer.

My camera is a shitty little thing, and I suck at taking photos. If you want great race photos, take a look at the IOMTT 2012 thread.

With that in mind, here are some of the TT related photos I captured while on the IOM.

Getting my hat signed by John McGuinness:

Race times keep getting pushed back due to wet roads:

Pits and grandstand:

Ah, for want of a sponsor!

The boy and girl scouts prepping for a race start:

Pitting during races:

Winner's circle:

John again; as we got back to the Snoozebox he was there doing a quick promo shoot for a helmet giveaway contest. Hope I win!

Non-race photos

And a few more from the fantastically beautiful island. I want to go back. I WILL go back!

The Great Laxey Wheel:

The Snaefell mine wheel:

MrsYo ready to board the electric train for the ride up Mt. Snaefell:

Views from the top of Snaefell. Small island indeed!

The course and overpass from the Bungalow:

A local Sunday race going on as we depart by air:

Other photos are on MrsYo's iPhone. Will have to get her to send them to me so I can share them with you.

I'm jealous. I've wanted to see the IOM ever since I was a little fart. My dad used to take me over to one of his riding buddy's houses and they would all sit in the garage, drink beer, and listen to recordings of the race on LP's.

More IOM

One last round of TT pics, this set from an iPhone.

Can you see the bike? It's coming at us really quickly

My horrible attempt at capturing a passing bike with an iPhone. Notice though that if I extend my arm past the wall, it's in the path of the bikes.

For Kurt and Dan; the local Manx brew:

MrsYo, of Irish descent, next opts for something darker:

And everyone's happy in a wee pub in Laxey:

Requisite ADV meal shot; the monster piece of cod and some "chips":

Guy Martin's bike. MrsYo has at thing for him.

A quite nice Panigale in TT trim:

Chatting with Conor Cummins on pit lane:

That's it for me. I don't want to bury the thread in photos.

Yeah, because that would suck. We hate photos, especially photos of things many of us would ever see. Not to mention that we don't want to burn up necessary bandwidth on silly things like that.

Well, MrsYo did take a bunch of flower close-up shots from an English garden we wandered through, if that's something you would like to see.

Three cheers for MrsYo-you have good taste in beer. And ummmm, pictures of bikes at IOM are DEFINITELY not a waste of bandwidth.

What I was up to last Monday: http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...=764640&page=3

I guess I could do a very short report on what I did later Saturday and Sunday. It involved camping, mountain roads and food!
