Still have the 1981 Honda Hawk CB400 T

Didn't have luck selling it, so I'm replacing everything and gonna convert it into a retro military style bike.

But need a few parts if anyone has any laying around ,

Speedometer, the entire gauge.

Battery Side Panel

Taillight ~ the entire piece black part of it including the light.

These Part #'s on the rear wheel diagram;

Honda parts
cush drive rubbers (need 3)
41241-413-781
rubber seal (need 1)
42604-413-780

Those parts listed above have been obsolete. Luck was with me on an chance order that PartsZilla actually had one of the cush drive rubbers brand new still in stock, it was the only one, but I got it!

I'm also open to suggestions about an after market Speedo. It's taken me 3 years to decide what to do with this bike

Which side seal is that? sprocket side?

if you haven't already, post up at HondaTwins. someone there wants your parts.

I'll check out the HondaTwin site, but I'm wanting those parts.

I'm not selling them.

That rubber seal is not for the wheel.

It's a seal that helps keep the cush drive tight against the sprocket (I believe, I could be wrong)

selling rt3 frame and engine

selling yamaha rt3 rt360 engine and frame comes with triple trees, ignition switch, coil, rear fender, few other random items. sorry but pickup only :/ 200 bones, well worth it if you need parts seeing as how the motor turns over still enough compression to run. http://knoxville.craigslist.org/mcy/4334480449.html

pm me if you're interested, rt's are becoming somewhat rare.

Then why are they in your ad. I kinda advertises that you're willing to screw over a lot of people---including your buyer.

it's called a tag.....maybe you don't dabble in craigslist too much but this way if someone is searching for one of these other bikes it allows them to find mine, if they like it they can buy it.....if not they continue on......

More like spam than tag

no, it's called keywording. It's forbidden in the craigslist TOU, and Cl has changed their software to help combat it. It destroys the search function. Everybody looking for ANY of those other bikes has your ad crapping up their results---and it has become such a monkey-see-monkey-do stunt among the brainless that searching for something can be pretty hopeless.

Dude, I don't mean to tell you what to do. Franky, I could care less. I see an ad like that and I don't even bother calling even if it's just what I'm looking for and the price is right. The seller looks like an inconsiderate asshat at worst and a thoughtless and immature kid at best. When I'm shopping (and I am) I judge the seller as much as the machine. I want someone I can have some confidence in, someone I figure is telling me the strait story about the item. A bunch of keywording bullshit says the seller will try to abuse me as much as she/he is abusing everyone searching for every one of those things he isn't selling. It also says the seller ain't too bright. You really think somebody is going to want what you got when they are looking for something else and you show up as yet another pimple in their search results? Nope.

I hope you make the sale, get your price and get a decent buyer to deal with. They can be real bullshitters and problems too. But a clean ad that has all the right details about the machine (shows you know your bikes and what a buyer needs to know). Has no garbage (lame backstory---ANY backstory, keyword garbage, hype, etc.)...this reels in what you want---somebody looking for exactly what you got, has a pocket full of cash and is motivated to buy.

Good luck.

Feel free to contact me off list if you want some editing help. I may or may not be able to make the ad stronger---beyond the most obvious.

Hear hear!

Sometimes, like if I have a bad day at work, i even go far enough to flag CL posts like that when they come up.

They use GPS as the speed sensor and are made in the U.S. Although designed primarily for cars I bought one last year that fit in the alloy gauge cups on a Norton Commando. You can custom design the face to fit whatever look you're going for. I don't care for the look of most of the aftermarket electronic speedos from Koso, Autometer, etc. and these were cheaper than most of the options. I haven't had it long enough to give any feedback on reliability/durability.

https://www.mikesxs.net/products-46.html
Mikes has some cheaper versions, both electronic and those that use a mechanical speedo drive.

Tom Kullen, who I think is the main organizer for the Bonneville Vintage GP at the Miller Motorsports track in Toole, UT outside of Salt Lake, is the U.S. distributor for an electronic version of the Smith's gauges used on British bikes: http://www.smithsgaugesusa.com

Sometimes I don't even have to have a bad day to flag 'em...like I just did this ad. Not to mention posting craigslist ads is against the rules here as well
