Dunno---think i could sell those instruments if I put 75 bikes they won't fit in the ad?

There are actually some clever things you can do with keywords that will get the buyers you want to see your ad----instead of miss it. I wrote this up on my site about how to piss people off with your craigslist ad. That site has over 15+ million (6 zeros) hits in the 6+ years it's been up. The traffic mostly came from craigslist itself; the site was once linked on every page of every cl site. Then maybe cl figured the bad guys were getting a bit too wise with a manual on what not to do? Or having someone else document how to use your site is a little embarrassing? Who knows. I don't maintain my pages anymore.

I'm newowl too---just another cl dabbler

Testing...

I got my K750 almost 2 years ago from Vostok with new pistons/valves, 12 volts (but still manual retard/points), had the gearbox redone by Ken and....I cannot ride the damn thing!!! My right arm is "screwed" and I am comfy only with 3 wheelers or very light bikes....
Tires are new, as is the battery, carbs have been redone...
I am thinking $3,000.00 with a spare engine/gearbox (unknown!)
or $2,500.00 for the bike only...
What do you think???

sold

Bump 3/15/15:

There was some initial interest, but it's still available. I may separate the sheet metal and rechromed parts if you have your own, want to go another direction (i.e., nicer original paint/patina sheetmetal), or just want to reduce costs. Minus those parts I'd sell the rest for $1,000.

Also, this project isn't in my way so I can also store it as long as reasonably needed (a few months, maybe a year?) until you can pick it up. The title is clear, in my name, and you get that upon purchase even if I store it for a while.

This bike was manufactured in Nov. '69 as a 750 Ambassador. It was not sold until '70 and is titled that way. Sometime early in life the original motor crapped out. A new 850 engine with numbers matching the frame was shipped from Italy. A 5-speed trans and the lower ratio final drive from the 850 were also added at that time, bringing the bike to full 850 Eldorado specification with matching numbers.

The bike was ridden for about 10-15 years, then disassembled about 20 years ago and stored in a dry garage. The previous owner began restoring some of the bright work by having it stripped and rechromed. The fender trim bars, side panels, crash bars (front and rear), handlebar and some other parts are wrapped in packing paper, awaiting their return to service.

The project is complete, but completely disassembled. The fenders and tank (6-gallon) are in great shape. The frame, forks and wheels are straight. Everything is serviceable, the heads were even rebuilt before being stored. Cylinder bores look good (no flaking, they're cast iron). There are saddle bags and a fairing that go with it.

Excellent candidate for a restoration, and just the right combination of parts (850/5-speed/low-ratio rear/big tank) to be a very usable classic ride.

The whole package is priced at $1,700. I may take some trades. I'm looking for a set of BMW spoke wheels from a monoshock GS or ST (front hub drilled for dual disks, either 19 or 21" considered, rear drum brake with 4-lugs), a R80GSPD tank (the big 8.7/9.0 gallon model, small dents ok), an Acerbis 11-gallon tank (preferably paintable, either considered), a Denfeld 3/4-length police seat ... you get the theme, what do you have for my '85 BMW R80?

Pics are available, but really - it's a basket, what do you want to see? I'm located in West Bloomfield, Mich., about 25-miles NW of Detroit. My cell number is (248) 703-0662. Call, text or PM for more info. I can crate and ship anywhere in the continental US or to Canada at the buyer's cost. Pickup is also available. I take PayPay, cash, or certified funds.

Thanks,

Bob

BMW /5 speedo and tach, /2 headlight bucket

Great shape except a bent needle on the tach. Everything works, and the condition besides the needle is very good. I paid $275 when I really needed one: Make me an offer.

Bucket is decent, but not perfect. Just the metal, no brackets or trim. Good older black paint. $125.

I can send you a pic if you are interested.

Wtb...

I'd like to buy some fork sliders for a 1970 BSA Lightning. Paint condition doesn't matter as long as the threads and bores are in good shape.

Mileage is unknown but I am guessing around 16k. Features include Triumph Scrambler bars and shocks. Nearly new Shinko 705 front and a rear trailwing with around 3k on it. Kick start only but the electric is there, Needs a new spring on the starter drive. Paint sucks, Chrome is decent. I ride this bike year round. I think I washed it once or maybe just left it out in the rain.Runs good could use a little tuning after setting all winter. Clear Illinois title

ADVrider price $1000 Located just north of Peoria. Trades? Let me know what you got . I am looking for a early Goldwing or a street legal dual sport.

I sent a pm. Regards,Ed

It's straight. It has a little rust in the tank, but not much.
