I think those were made in taiwan or similar. no relation to the P&M panthers made in the UK. I have 4 of those. if this one was closer, I'd get it for that price just for the hell of it.

It's time I sold my spare PD tank

Tank had incurred a dent in forward left lobe when PO clipped a van which stopped suddenly. I recently had the dent professionally repaired (pulled, faired-out, and repainted in factory correct white) by the best euro body shop in town. What was NOT done, was a smaller depression which is where rider's knee pushed into rear left knee-pad area. It's barely visible in photos (see photo below - i tried to make it look as bad as possible with contrasty lighting) and I think the factory knee-pads would obscure most - but not all of it.

I also have a full set of PD decals, and rondels to go with the tank. I've left them off, in case buyer wants to go with different color scheme etc.

More pics at http://icenine.smugmug.com/Motorcycl...26411883_WEM4k

Sale includes:
PD tank as shown in photos
locking vented gas cap as shown in photos
PD graphics (including knee area)

Sale does not include:
knee pads (still avail from bmw)
petcocks
rubber mounting blocks (attach to bottom of tank)

Asking $980 plus shipping.
If you just want tank and cap, $900 plus shipping will do it.

Please all revisit the rules for this thread in post #1. Price discussions never ended well, so I moved these posts out of here.

I have been working on my 1975 RD350 for a while now and currently I am in need of funds to buy new pistons, a rebore, seals and gasket to get the motor running again. I am seeling a soem parts off my 1973 rd350 parts bike. I have a couple general pictures, but if you think of some thing or want bette rpictures let me know.

I want to sell everything minus the jugs and the crank. I will let go of the jugs and the crank for the right price though. The jugs are at about 64.1mm so they are in need of their 1st rebore.

Here is a short list of what I have for sale. Everything is best offer.

Rotor/Stator
Clutch assembly
Set of heads
Engine case
Transmission internals
Set of carbs
Set of exhaust pipes but they do have a couple scrapes in them
Other misc If you see something in the pictures let me know.

Hi John
Hey all. Just a chime in about the above seller. He's a stand up guy and takes good care of his sh%^t, fellow MSF instructor, and great off road rider. If anybody needs a looky-see, I'd be happy to peek!

Question Unbelievable 1992 BMW R100GSPD....whats it worth?

Hi Everyone,

Not a Barn find....more of a museum find.

It is with a heavy heart I might be selling my 1992 BMW R100GSPD. This is not any old GS.....let me explain. This is my 9th NEW motorcycle and I've been riding 40 continuous years. I am a maintenance fanatic and one of my previous NEW purchase motorcycles resides in a museum collection. I'm one of those sick anoying motorcyclists who enjoy detailing and wrenching bikes as much as riding.

I simply don't have room anymore and I'm not riding it. At this juncture I need to decide whether to sell it, OR plan on maybe crating it and keeping it as a time capsule for my kids or their kids.

A few details about my GS I may be posting for sale shortly;

Purchased new in 1992
NEVER dropped
NO MARKS, SCRATCHES OR MARKS.....NOT ONE
NEVER winter driven
NEVER off roaded
18,000km showing on the odometer (speedometer was replaced under warranty at +- 18,000km) so there are +- 36k on the bike. (I of course have the service record)
Oil changed every 1,000km (some years I only put 1,000km on the bike so it was changed twice....once in the spring and once in the fall.
ALL Fluids dropped and changed once a year regardless of mileage (oil & filter, transmission oil, brake fluid, final drive)
I replaced the engine sump gasket a few years ago (there was a slight weep) and I was expecting at least SOME sludge, but no, you could have eaten off the inside upon removal.
The only changes to the bike are a Speigler braided steel front brake hose, HiCap Battery cables (amazing), as well as FIAMM horms - the rest is box stock
Colour - Flash Green/Black
Complete with BMW badges (no marks on them), Vario Tank bag (never used), bag liners, BMW turtle pack, BMW heated grips, BMS skid Plate, BMS 4 Way Flasher
BMW Solo Saddle as well as Corbin seat complete with detachable backrest.
Always garaged and never parked in the sun (no sun fade)
Only been caught in the rain a couple of times
Properly winterized (all metal work coated in WD40 sans the brake disc/pad and rear drum)
NEW BMW battery (always is plugged into a Battery Tender when the bike is parked)
NEW Valeo Starter (old one was fine but had the anoying "shreek" on start up
There are no holes drilled, stickers etc. so the bike can be returned to absolutely box stock, as it was delivered condition should it wish to be parked in the window of a BMW dealership or private collection.

I can and will send images via email to potential interested parties.

I repeat, I am undecided on whether to sell this bike, as if I do I know there is not another GS Airhead of this vintage in this condition.....so if I do....there is no going back.

The BIG question.....

Any thoughts on what its worth??????
