Center of mounts dimension is just as critical as spring rate. Total travel as well. Part No. is relevant to any potential purchaser. But only if you actually want to sell them.

Some nOOb started a thread recently. His question, "Any ideas?" That's it in total.

Too many people are ultra lazy, won't spend 3.14159 seconds toward the benefit of themselves or anyone else. I want perfect results at lightspeed and not one drop of sweat. Dream on.

1974 R90/6 used piston oil ring wanted. I'm in need of one cheap used piston oil ring (a used set would be even better). Someone here must have a saved ring/set laying around somewhere. I know it sounds rather mickey-mouse to just slap on a used ring but I'd like to see if I can even get the bike fired up. The bike was last on the road in 1998 and spent at least a few years outdoors under a tarp. It's got lots of issues including pistons frozen into the bores. I finally got them unstuck (3 months of saoking really did help) but did manage to break one oil ring while trying to remove it (rusted on). I had a strong inclination to just cannibalize the bike for parts I can use/will eventually need on my other /6's but don't have the heart to do it to a bike that is fairly complete regardless of the cosmetic and other challenges it has. Plus, even the wife agrees it would be sad to do so without at least giving it a temporary reprieve/last gasp for life. Call me sentimental. Thanks

BMW Classic pannier frames. In Oz.

These racks were fitted to the bike on the right. You can compare how they sit with the other bike.
The left rack holds the panniers a tad higher than the right. This is due to some triangular gusseting to reinforce the angles, causing a slight change in fitted position.
They're powder coated black, and have some wear on the powder coat. They need a wash. Still very sturdy, and do the job. They look ok still too, but they're not perfect.
These racks should fit any R series from 70-84 I believe, except the r45/65/80g/s.

They're in Croydon, Melbourne. $85 + post. Pick up is fine.
Also posted in the Oz regional section.

Damn. I'm broke, but I'll buy you a set of rings if you can't afford it.
