It's a lovely bike just not me if you know what I mean. It's priced to sell so hopefully should sell quickly.

no doubt. I'd love to have that for euro touring. I know what you mean about 'not me' I just sold a nice GS for the same reason.

one of my friends called me 'Ewan' it was gone soon after

Good looking RS, Rob. Can't believe you're selling it after all the work you've put into it.

Someone's going to get a nice one!

In an Ideal world I'd have kept it, I just haven't got the garage space. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I knock a chunk out of the fairing. There's 4 BMW's in that 2nd picture so you can see how tight things are.

I do have extensive photos of the current state for serious inquirers.

I am really just testing the waters here before possibly posting to Flea Mkt.
"I have one. You could have it."

I too got the idea from that statement that the bike was going to be free but it was just a lead in for your sales pitch?

Then you think it was worth $3500 before the crash, now it's worth $2000 but if you replace the trashed parts it would increase in value to $4K?

This belongs in the Flea Market.

$78.00 plus shipping
I have two other pics, one shows a small tear in the lower left corner of the upholstery, not terrible, but there.
The price reflects the condition.
Can't remember the Reynolds part number for this, anyone have an old brochure?

Mods moved it, but I was just testing the waters since the other thread had someone pining for an 83 R100RT. The mods made the decision for me.

And yes, the bike needed fairing work before the crash, hence $3500 valuation. If I had replaced the fairing bits prior to the crash, I would have never sold it for less than 4k.

With all parts that need replacing now it would still be worth $4k. I have at least $6k into the bike not including the original purchase price.

Them's the breaks, you pay the BMW tax to fix stuff and you never get it all back. You just have to do it b/c you want to.

I can vouch for this bike, for what its worth. I made him buy it and watched him poke, prod, polish and procure everything needed to get it in tip top running condition. I was a witness to the crash as well. Damage is only cosmetic...it is one hellava runner. Build it back to an RT or strip it down to a straight R100.

Leo Goff, who did all of the major work on the bike, is one of the finest wrenches anywhere and a funky bass player to boot. He is the only one who has worked on my (our) bikes over the past 20 years. Hell, Jay Leno sends stuff to him, that is sayin something in my book.

This bike is like a Bob Ross canvas...prepped by a masters hand, awaiting your touch to make it special.

I have one. You could have it.

An '83 R100RT w/ ~34k on it. Recently broadsided by a careless cage, but luckily all damage was cosmetic. One header and one muffler need replacing.

Recent (under 3000 miles ago) exhaust valve and seat replacement, and rings replaced by Leo Goff at Memphis Motorwerks. Independent floats done by Leo.

All work I did was in keeping with stock appearance. Stainless headers, original pipes, dual seat, new black luggage racks. New all-black shocks from Bob's. Rear Run-n-lites. Clock and voltmeter work perfectly. Speedo recently rebuilt by Rick Borth at Overseas Speedometer.

Upgraded Motoelekt.com diode board, voltage regulator, and LED taillight.

I've loved and worked on this one for 3 years but just got a new 93 GS and I reluctantly submit to selling the RT.

This puppy will getup and go, and I would have ridden it across country and back without hesitation.

More info available, and many picts from before and after wreck.

Would have asked 3500 before the wreck, now asking $2k.[/QUOTE]

Would you package that for Oz Rob?

If only that was here, I'd be all over it.
I would.

I thought it was very awkward/expensive to import bikes into OZ. Might be worth some enquires first?

I can have a word with our local Guzzi dealer to see if he has any crates knocking about.
