Dave all you need to do is shove a 20 amp mini fuse into the male connector as shown in Cosmic's pic. This shorts out the two wires and provides a more responsive throttle in gears 1 thru 3. Some say it adds horsepower...I'm not so sure. What I am sure of is that it gives a much more crisp and smooth throttle response. You may have noticed what some call the "off idle stumble" when pulling away in first gear. This mod corrects that. In case your wondering, it won't harm the bike or the electronics. Guys have been playing around with this for some time and have noticed no ill effect. Good luck.

Just for clarification any amp rating mini fuse will work.

I assume so. Most guys use the 20 amp. Not sure why.

Oh, nooooooooooooooooooo... I used a 5 amp fuse when I first tried the CJM!!! ![]() Maybe that's why I didn't think it was as fantastic a mod as many report! ![]() Dallara ~

With this and a PCV... Wow!
OK, Fred... I think I got it now. Gonna' order one of these... ![]() Should be the ultimate CJM, and I can mount it right up on the handlebar so other CJM riders can easily see it... ![]() It'll be better than those Beemer guys who wear the BMW whale foreskin riding suits to Starbuck's!!! Dallara ~

I wanna take this clutch mod thing to a whole new level. I think I'm going to hook one of these up the clutch switch. Nothing like more power!

And...
Yeah! And cruise control, too... And look... It says it is equipped with an "inverter". Guess that means once it's mounted you can ride your Super Tenere upside down. Maybe it'll even keep Pluric upright in sand... ![]() Or does it mean it'll pick Pluric's bike when he falls in sand? ![]() And imagine, it can power *ALL* the farkles, heated gear, lights, etc. you could ever want, and all while still charging your battery! ![]() Dallara ~
