Well done

Sorry about the old farts music though

This person wants a 900cc Tenere.

Here we go again. Check out the drift at the end. [1:57]

Cheers

Well done, KLRynuts! You are in the FRONT ROOOOooow!
I'll be one of the mid-summer arrivals, but that's OK. That's an extra couple months to save up more funds which means less, if any, loan. That also means no other toys or frivolous spending. Keeping my eye on the ball, I am!

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

Hey Chadx,

I am fortunate, but with no special talent, to have found my deal.

Everyone cuts there own deals in their own circumstances.

I'm originally from St. Charles, MO, which was the first stop of Lewis & Clark on their expedition. Naturally, I've been wanting to ride their trail.

As a resident of Montana, you're far up the ride and have access to many excellent adventures. While I'm currently midwest centric, I've often fantasized of a Montana summer home and an Arizona winter home. Yet my family (and finances) keeps me on the east side of the 100th parallel.

Do you have any real estate contacts? I may not be in that game yet, but it's interesting.

I hope our paths cross and we can ride.

Peace

Handguard Spoilers for XT1200Z

G'day,

I was wondering if anyone has fitted handguard spoilers to their Tenere. Yamaha & Touratech Australia both advise me that they are unavailable for the XT1200Z Yamaha Bark Busters. I can't seem to find any on the net.

Which tires

I see at the Super Tenere sometimes different tires mounted - Metzeler Tourance EXP or Bridgestone Battlewings.
Anybody here driven both tires an can report about the handling? What is the better tire for the XT1200Z ?

Thanks in advance ....

No idea about the Battlewings, but for road use even in temps down to 0 degC the EXPs have been extremely sure footed, not had them on snow or Ice but expect to fall off shortly in those conditons. Bit loose on slimy mud /grass due to low tread depth on front and lack of grooves on rear.
Hanvent had the bike on it ear yet as road and temps have been artic since pickup in late November so dont want to chance my arm but its a plus form me sofar (though I doubt they'd get far in UK trails at the mo.)
Seem better in the wet than the Siracs I had on my XT660tenere, though they were great in the dry and only had a few moments on diesel soaked roads (bus lanes in town)

is that dated before the release of the s10 when people were speculating on size and look and photoshop was in full effect using the 660 as a base?

both are more street tires than anything. look at the heindenau k60 for a 50/50 tire but your in germany and might not have much if any dirt.

No I think he put together a bunch of stuff that was dated well before the release with his particular take on what a new tenere should be.

The video was up for a week.

He wants to see a 900cc Tenere. But what would it be called?

An "Almost Super Tenere"
A "mid Tenere"

Cheers
