Makes me wonder what a low boost turbo could do

Probably just make it like other brands in the FD department.

I was thinking of it as a Toyota fj cruiser. Big, Solid and reliable, and does just about everything way better than you'd think it would. I would lean more towards a ktm 950 super moto or a duc hyper motard as the wrx equivalent. Although you make some valid points!

Ktm adventure is the jeep wrangler.
Klr650 is the Suzuki samurai.
BMW GSA is the merc g-wagon.

I kind of enjoy these comparisons.

I too own a money pit of a Mercedes Benz. The car has been in for work and service more that 16 times in the last 11 months. I have always had the car serviced my Fletcher Jones. I drive a rental car more that mine that costs me more than $800 a month. I am trying to do something to recify tis situation, but am unsure about who or what to persue. Any thought or advise would be appreciated. Sorry for all of your trouble as well. I will NEVER EVER NEVER BUY, OWN, LEASE, OR DRVIE another Mercedes again. It has been the worst and most costly mistake of my life!!!!
Yep sounds about right

I always think about the S10 as a Land Cruiser 200, the GS as a Range Rover L322 and the KTM as something like a Nissan Patrol GR

So what is the collective name for a group of S10s ?

Answers on a postcard to HM Queen Elizabeth the Second, Buckingham Palace, London.

I ask as I saw 3 in row, all blue, driving through Glencoe pass in Scotland on Monday.

I rarely see one....but 3......Wohoo....the message is finally getting through.

A hope of Ten's..

I just did the freebie Yamaha S10 experience day in Wales. I feel totally fucked - but completely happy.
I've never ridden anything more challenging than a tow path (on a mountain bike) so this was in at the deep end (for me).
John and Dylan, our instructors, were ace. Giving us plenty of notice and pointers about how to ride. The day was pleasantly warm, the bikes didn't miss a beat - and i stayed upright!!

You guys with lots of dirt to play with are mega lucky.

You know what they say "The grass is always dirtier on the other side". Or something like that

It may be due to tariffs imposed on Japanese imports back in the day when everything was made in Japan.
Not really, in Canada, a similarly equipped GS costs about $4000 more than the SuperTenere, but comes with a 3 year warranty, instead of 1 year on the S10.

On the GS, ABS and traction control are optional, so is the onboard computer and spoked wheels.

People comparing prices often compare the base bare bones GS with the well equipped SuperTen.
