Don't be. It's a truly incredible piece of kit. Much, *MUCH* better than the AltRider I had here before the RumBux. No comparison, especially if you're really serious about protecting your Super Ténéré's sensitive underbelly.

The problem now is *IF* you can get a RumBux here in the USA any longer..

Just got off the phone with Woody's Wheel Works. For $650 they will lace up a new
wheel with monster spokes. Seal it so it can run tubeless tires. Spokes have never been
a huge issue to me. The rim bending has. Flat spotted the rear again this weekend.

I didn't know if I should have been flattered that they remembered me or mad at Yamaha
that I have to be on a first name basis with a wheel shop.

Anyway, I'm going to do it. The rear for now because it's the worst. I'll post some pics
when it comes back. Jaxon at Ride On ADV is shipping the new K60s to go with it today.

Today I had a phone call I was waiting for long time. Finally I've found a 21" front wheel for the ST.
Unfortunately I can't afford a Woody's wheel (a masterpiece), the shipping to Spain and the customs fees make it very expensive, so I hope this Spanish rim is going to be fine.
Now another good time doing all the mods!!

I'm not proud, besides I'm not the one who has to swallow. I'm just taking it in the shorts.
Which is worse?

True... Oh, so true...

But then again, in all seriousness... What are you gonna' have to *cough up* for the wheel re-hab?

I've been ponderin' sending my wheels to Woody just to have the big stainless steel spokes installed with the stock rims. You think such an upgrade is worth it?

They quoted me $650 for the rear wheel and spokes. They will use the stock hub.

I've never had a broken spoke. Lost a nipple that caused a bent spoke so I don't see a need to
address a non issue. I don't recall reports of spokes being a problem so if they had a super duty
rim that would work on the stock spokes I do it.

What they have are super duty spokes and hopefully a stronger wheel so I'll take what I can get.
