All I know is insane speed gives you insane photo opps and a small chance to get even with the ticket master.

I got my plate with the others here on the last shipment.

Long story short it works fine. Had to massage the metal a bit, but no worse than most any crashbar or luggage set up that I've ever put on. I thought for certain I'd need to make spacers but tubing is adjustable
Thanks for posting this info ~ been wondering the same thing. had a bulletproof skid plate on my Vstrom and just have not been very impressed by most S10 offerings.

New skid plate arrival

I have the new version of my ACD skid plate.
Still a prototype so they must improve the welds in the oil filter area they change from a square “box” to a cylinder. Also the foam is not the definitive, it has to be 10 mm (6mm in the pictures).
It looks much better than the first proto, better adapted to the bike but always with a good margin to avoid touch vital parts if it moves because a hit. There is a full protection to the exhaust, water pump, catalyser, suspension links…
The most important modifications are in the lower area where they have folded to adapt to the bash plate (with a 15 mm margin) and to add rigidity. Another big change is the rear frame they add, it looks really strong and add rigidity as well.
I hope I can fix it to the bike today, see the ground clearance and weight and test it as soon as possible. They want to start the production this month!!

In the last picture you can see the differences between the first and second prototype, big improving!.

I'm signed up for a production model when they're available.
Looks fantastic, J.

Looks like a great piece, I'm afraid after currency conversion and shipping to get it here in the states, it's going to be comparable/more than Jaxon's. Probably going to be the best option for you on the other side of the pond though.

Yeah, shipping is always a huge cost. I wonder the price must be around 300€ maximum. I asked them and they complain a lot: it's huge, thick aluminium…. Bla,bla…
When I know I tell you.

As long as Woody's has my back wheel I thought I would do some routine maintenance.
Pulled the air cleaner. It's been 8,000 miles, Baja, Southern Utah twice, some local off road.
The air box looked great. The orange stuff in the corner is water and a little oil.

I never noticed the air box drain until I went to wipe the water out. Has a simple
pull and drain in the left hand bottom corner.

I run a K&N here's the clean side...

Dirty side,

Visually it looked very clean on the air box intake side. I really thought the dirty
side would have been worse. I don't use any type of pre-filter.

K&N's are evil, you will ruin your engine and cause global warming

I was afraid to post that. I get blamed for everything. Gotta go, Al Gore is on the phone
and my wife says he sounds pissed.

So no white for the Unites States market?

I'm going to the motorcycle show in November since it's here in Atlanta, and I'm hoping to see a different color or two for the Tenere...so silver huh? No white?
